their car to the track? If you do what is the length and wieght? Looking to do this, due to getting tired of changing tires in the dark. Last weekend a racing buddy used his light from his phone to help me out, what a pain. Thanks Adam
Yup. A 18ft trailer will work, but a 20 makes it more better gooder for a open trailer. If you plan on going with a enclosed trailer, don't go smaller than a 24. The weight of the car averages 4400lbs, so the min trailer capacity would be a 7K GVW.
I trailered with a 20',10,000GVWR open trailer.....made it very nice.Make sure you get a truck big enough to handle the weight since you will be close to if not over 6000lbs.
Thanks, Any one have pics of trailers with LX's on them? Also, when trailering the speed limit is 55 mph right? I see people hauling ass all the time on the south 14 fwy doing 70-75 mph.
In Cali that holds true, but yea, most still do 70ish. haha I know when I came to the state, I still did 85. tee hee
You should have posted on this thread too. He can win an 18' for $5. http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1745&d=1242854293 (second page)
And ya, speed limit is 55 is Cali no matter what. Also remember you may not drive in any lanes except the last two right hand lanes. And if it's a two lane road, only the right lane with the exception of passing slower moving traffic. So these assholes you see towing their 30ft offshores behind their escalade in the fast track lanes SHOULD BE HUNG BY THE BALLS UNTIL DECLARED LEGALLY BRAIN DEAD!!!.
Nice pic Cam. Yeah, it seems to me that the CHP is very lenient with these dumb asses. No offense Ron. :thumb2:
Bit the bullet yesterday and bought a 20' flat bed, all C channel. will be delivered this weekend. I will be pulling with my 22 motor home with the Triton V10. Might need to beef up the hitch abit. thanks for the input's Adam
Nice. Contgrats. I was thinking "changing tires in the dark isn't so bad. You get one of those flashlights you strap on your head or clip on your hat". but you don't even have to pee in the dark
Ya, I was thinking about the hat light, but sold our 5th wheel and the better half said I could use the monies for my addiction. Happy wife is happy life. and boy em i spoild.
If you hadn't planned on it already. Get a 10KGVW load leveling hitch. It'll be the best money you ever spent.
Yep been told that is the way to go, pick up tomorrow. safety to the track & on the track Thanks all I feel good on this deal as long as it show up. Adam
