Just got a Text from E-Town Steve in the RDP Challenger Broke a Blower Belt 3/4 Track and ran 10.2x. New belt going on and the race for the 9's continues this weekend
Well the race for the 9's will have to be another time he was told to take the car home, not allowed to run anymore...........too fast needs another type of rollcage Went 114mph at 1/8 mi @ 6.31
114mph 1/8th is well into the 9's,,, damn strong mph. My Dad's car runs 10.0# at 134. 106-7mph in the 1/8. His 6.31 is about a 9.8# The mph is a bit faster. Nice job guy's NHRA legal pass is 6.39 in the 1/8th for the licensing and full cage requirements.
all i want was the time card and then i would have the record now, but they wouldnt give me the time card no time of the board at least i got video of it
just loading the footage of the run i personally think it was a solid 9 but i will never know, the car beside me ran a 10.8 with the front wheels of the ground on launch and i beat him by a long way from start to finish, but either way means nothing without a timecard and a score board
I would of tracked down the guy you raced and asked for his timeslip or at least to get a pic what track were you at and what was your race number? If you were at Norwalk you could of gotten your info here http://www.1320go.com/tracks.php
Damn Steve, sorry to hear they shut you down like that....no doubt that 1/8th ET and MPH would have translated into a serious benchmark to beat. If it ain't the car, then its the track and if its not the track then its the damn rules......just goes to show how hard those last couple tenths can be. I know your frustration well.
