http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Pmg2QQIq_s I ran Nitto 555r drag radials for the first time. On this run they hooked pretty good: 12.20@113 w/ 1.78 60'. My next run with better DA/cooler motor they cooked off the line so I guess I agree they aren't very predictable. Other SRT8s running were a heads/cam 300: 12.52-12.55 ET, a 392 cid single turbo 300: 12.18@117 w/ very soft 60', a stock 300: 13.4 ET and a bolt-on Magnum: 13.3@106. There were two Nissan GTRs there. I only saw one run a 11.66@119MPH. I heard one launched backwards but when he put it back in drive he got a 16.xx@120 something
NICE man your car is a beauty. It didnt take long for you to roast those tires that is what I like to see nice short burnouts not those long drawn out John Force style ones.
Thanks for posting up my crappy run Jeff, appreciate it!! lol I saw that GTR run backwards, didn't I tell you? It wasn't bad, the guy caught it quickly. What was best was he still caught the other car for the win! Those things are STUPID FAST!!!!! Faster than a lot of the drag only cars there!
Here is a vid by one of the GTR guys which shows runs from yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSAp_lY83iw Conspicuously missing is this run: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amDxMbh8D2k Compared to that, you had a great day at the track:tooth:
Did your bro record that?? Too bad he cut it after the guy went backwards, the great part was how he still ran down the other car! And what's that "playing" going on on the freeway on the way home? Looks like he was trying to egg you on, you showed GREAT restraint bro, GREAT restraint! More than I would have. Hey, your car ain't that much slower than his, and at hwy speeds where are cars ROCK things would have been very interesting cause indeed ...
No those were vids just posted on youtube. They didn't try to race me on the highway although a black C5 did. When I got along side of him he just took off (actually I could see he wasn't very fast and didn't bother). I had beaten two C5 Z06s at Sacramento Raceway a couple weeks earlier so I figured I didn't need to prove anything to myself
Infineon Raceway in San Francisco Bay area. It's actually uphill at the very end so maybe thats why it looks like that.
I was wondering what your car ran Scotty! You had a thread on it, but didn't update it! I'm still thinking you need the Predator with a custom CMR tune...among other things!LOL
nice run Jeff! What are the spec's on the DR's .. do you have an extra set of factory powdercoated rims that you run them on???
