update: i decided to do the paint work myself and bought a beginners spray gun. i must say, it's a btch to paint. after A LOT of cuts, dry skin, coughing and crying, everything is just about done with the exterior, engine bay and parts of the interior. next will be finishing the interior and doing a custom enlcoser for the trunk. i changed the theme to match the carbon fiber. i used semi black and dark titanium, a charger color. my wife and i feel that it was the closest match. now i'm still waiting on the 6k cf for my roof and firewall. i'm also waiting on the bt designer series strut cover and center caps. here's the pix. let me know what you guyz think so far? interior: painted the nav, shifter, steering wheel bezels dark titianium. i also painted the srt8 lit door sill and shifter ring semi black. i also repainted the srt exterior and interior emblems to match the theme. exterior: replaced daytona chin spoiler, made a new mini mud guard, painted semi black hemi / red 6.1 decklid emblem and painted grill srt emblem titanium and new srt 8 emblems. tinted corner markers. made a new and last version 3 pc spioler. this time i took the rksport spoiler and cut the sides off the tail pcs, to run it flush down the side of the tails. i wanted it to flow evenly with the rear fender, unlike rks version, that sticks out 1/2". i had my 3pc wheels sandblasted and powder coated semi black face, inner/outer hoop, exposed screws, lugs and valve stem. i painted the pockets titanium to match the theme. engine bay: replaced cf fuse box cover, for a bt version. i made a new firewall and painted it titanium. installed bmc's braided lines. waiting on decals to place back on the cf radiator cover. painted the hemi 6.1 valve covers to match the decklid emblem. painted the srt letters on the heat shield, titanium. made a cover for the front rear frame for the headlight. looked ugly to me, with the honey comb plastic frame. polished lines and fuse box cover. again, let me know what you guyz think so far. just a few more things to finish up. thanks!
thanks man! ron, much appreciated! it was a lot of work, that i don't want to do again. thanks bro! thank you for noticing. i had hoped it would flow. i just need the roof now to finish the exterior off.
i hope to have the interior and cf parts done for the lx shindig in atlanta. chase, chris and scott, look forward to meeting you guyz.
Geezus Jimmy!!! You always have about 10 things going on with your ride, and you always say "just about finished" LMAO!!!! When are you going to wake up and realize IT'S NEVER OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She looks sexxy as hell bro. And this is my favorite setup with the wheels.......KEEP IT AS IS DUDE!! It's a little "badge heavy" for my taste on the trunklid, however how you toned them down by painting them definitely helps!!! The interior looks beauty too, along with the little pieces in the engine bay you fabbed to cover those grids. Keep up the great job homie, and definitely keep us posted on your progress!!!! Good to hear from you. The only way I'll be able to make the SE Shindig is if they put the event in the SECOND weekend in August. The reason I miss it every year, is because tax-free weekend is on the first weekend, and it's essential to my business, I can't be gone that weekend. So if the dates are right, I'll be there!!! Wife and I have already talked about it. Do you know the dates yet??? And if you don't reply in my thread, I'm gonna slit your throat, bitch.........
