I have been noticing a trend with the jeeps over the past month since racing has picked back up. I am noticing that on the 4th-8th passes the ET's are decreasing. Here is an example from a Jeep at Gainesville yesterday

    [email protected] 1.82 60' .416 R/T (7:37pm)
    [email protected] 1.82 60' .338 R/T (7:49pm)
    [email protected] 1.85 60' .426 R/T (8:20pm)
    [email protected] 1.82 60' .287 R/T (8:50pm)
    [email protected] 1.81 60' .292 R/T (9:30pm)
    [email protected] 1.80 60' .275 R/T (10:23pm)
    [email protected] 1.81 60' .291 R/T (10:31pm)
    [email protected] 1.81 60' .227 R/T (10:37pm)
    [email protected] 1.81 60' .217 R/T (10:43pm)
    [email protected] 1.81 60' .220 R/T (10:48pm)

last 4 runs are hot lapping
I'm confused as this goes against all that I have thought that a cooler Jeep runs better???
Is this due to adaptives learning your current driving trend?

I met an SRT8 300C owner at the track a few weeks ago and same thing his 4th pass which was only a few minutes after his last pass was his best

Some for you to keep in mind is the time of night.

At 7:37pm the air and track temps are probably 10 - 20*'s hotter than at 10:30pm.

That would explain the faster ET's.

Oh, and no need to list reaction times, they have absolutely no bearing on ET and MPH.

Yeah, DA is probably falling. I can't seem to run faster after the 3rd run even with a 30 minute cool down.

The other thing is that Wade is showing a .100 (hundreth) difference in time.

That could be caused from shifting, getting out of the groove, or many other things.

If it were 2 tenths or so, then it could be a fairly good discussion.

No offense Wade, I'm just saying...

That and the last five runs were all within 5-8 minutes of each other which means the engine temps were probably about the same during each run.

By the consistency of each run, the owner should get into bracket racing (he needs to improve his r/t though lol).

With those consistent times, he would stand an above average chance of winning some cash.

It's ok Ron. On that last group of times in the evening it was .07 difference from worst to best. You could still say hundreds... Just pick a story and stick with it. Don't let these guys push you around by confusion.
