Started Installing the 09 226 LSD Differential

Well the last parts finally arrived Friday So I got a hold of Ben (Sublime130) who owns a Transmission Shop in the area.
Ben was extremely busy there were cars everywhere in the shop but he found a way to get the car in and up on the rack, We got a late start but by quitting time we had the everything done but changing the yoke to a 4 bolt on the tranny and hooking up the driveshaft and putting the exhaust back on and I need to get out and get some special Mopar stuff to fill it up with.
When done the car will have the 09 226 LSD diff.....09 axles and hubs.....new driveshaft and couplers, and a 4 bolt yoke for the tranny.
Looking back I would have just kept my driveshaft and couplers being they look exactly the same as the 09 SRT driveshaft and my couplerls still looked brand new.

very interested to hear how this axle combo holds up....... would be a very nice alternative to costly dss axles.....

 

I'm glad to see yours arrived in one piece and everything is going smoothly.

I picked mine up this morning, but the pressure relief valve is crushed.

The Quaife and Halfshafts where $4,000.00. I was the 1st in the country with both.

I won't change now, but man this is awesome. Can't wait to see how much abuse those 09 halfshafts can take. Love the different gear options already.

In your pics, the new driveshaft looks to be a tad thinker than the original?

 

Will this set up give me a Limited Slip Diff and Half shafts good for aroun 600 RWHP? Where can this set up be bought and how much aprox for labor? Thanks.

 

It will give you a Limited Slip Diff and halfshafts how much they are good for we don't know yet, they are a upgrade from the 05-08 shafts from 28 to 32 spline and the hub, probably 4-5 hours for install
