25 out of 25 mostly because I lived in a backwoods small town in southern IL.
We couldn't even get all 3 of the channels on TV because we were out of range.

    How about BB gun tag?
    Playing with fireflys
    Cartoon tag
skateboards that were 3" wide and 12" long AND DEATH
    Superfriends cartoons - wondertwins activate
Tom & Jerry - even older
Mayberry, Barnie Fife, Opie Taylor = name the show.
How about going to the library to look things up, no google!!!!
    :)

    I got 25 out of 25....
    How about:
    AM radio only
Fast Food was at the drug store counter
    19 cent gas
5 cent candy bars that were big
Joni Hand Warmers that ran on lighter fluid -yep you put them in your pocket.
Evening Radio programs like "Your's Truly Johnny Dollar"
Reel Lawn Mowers (some with motors but most you pushed)
Crystal Radio Sets you built yourself so you could have radio in your bedroom
Real Fireworks you could set off yourself in your yard for the 4th of July
Cars with heaters that ran on the gas in your tank (1955 Chrysler option)
For that matter no heaters in cars (they were options back then)
Semi automatic transmissions (1948 Dodges had them)
    Three on the tree transmissions
Running with your lights on during a long trip so you would not over charge the battery
10 cent Movies on Saturday afternoons
Coke with codin as an additive (Now that was a Coke High for sure - stopped in 1954)
No frozen food at all in the supermarket - come to think of it no supermarkets...

To mention a few....Yep older than dirt and glad I lived during those times. Kids today missed a lot.....(63 years old)

After reading through the thread again, I have to wonder...

A question for the younger people... (Those who are under 40!)
How many of you actually remember some the things listed from childhood?
There are a lot of things I remember seeing or hearing of after growing up (slightly!) But, there are MANY I actually remember, or had forgotten about until posted!!!

    Just wondering!! ;)

You aged a TON sitting on your butt for months with your gimp leg. You should go jog around the block a few times and try to get some of it back.

As a kid I used to go camping alot. Dead serious every restraint we went to had a lil jukebox, treats were the wax coke bottles, blackjack was crappy (i do not care much for licorice) I was all for beemans.... mmmm minty, used to sneak candy and gum cigarettes because my parents were against them. and up until about a year ago I was still using the metal ice cube trays because I like the triangle shaped ice...
