After gettin rear ended at 2300 miles, I got the 300srt8 back Monday. Looks like new (oh, yeah, it still is). Pulled rear, straighten trunk insides. new bumper, cover trunk lid etc only $5,300 - but it was the other guy's insurance company's money. Exhaust was damaged, another $1600 suppliment.

Looking at the paper work, I see that the trunk lid is aluminum, while all the other 300s are steel. How much weight does that realy take off the back end?

I was driving a rental 2009 300 3.5 touring for two weeks. Now that is a very good car, but there is no comparison. Its seats, while comfortable, felt like padding over boards compaired to the srt.

So, tonight I put on the Volant cai and the BT catch can. The Predator is on the bench with the 180 stat while we wait for my Corsa/MP cat back to come in to complete my little tweek. Spring is here, time to drive.

Sorry to hear about your accident. That sucks. Glad to hear that you're up and running again. By the way, all the 300's have aluminum trunks and hoods. You likely got an OEM trunk lid.
