I was just curious as to how they can be set.

What all those guys are saying is that until you get up to ridiculous power you just want it to stay on as long as you have your foot on the floor and right through the shifts. You only need the switch for when you launch in first gear. You don't want/need to spray at launch. You're hitting the power band and have traction about the time you get to 4000. When it shifts you're still goin to be above 4000 at the bottom of the next gear so it wouldn't turn off.

Set the turn on rpm at ~4000 and the turn off rpm above your shift point.

I was curious about that too and once you said that it rammed it home .. if I shift around 6200 rpm, the rpms are going to be over 4000 rpms when it shifts into the next gear! so the n2o wont be turning on and off. and if I launch with juice, im gonna blow a shaft and make it harder to gain traction .. making my 60' time suck ass

dave .. after this discussion, your going to need a n2o set-up of your own.

by that time, I will be experienced with install and you can fly me out to CA to do your install for you .. sounds like a good idea to me! haha .. thank you for thinking this out with me!

Well burnt oil isnt good either. The beginning stages of a problem.

As for the cheap mans power comment. Its ok by me.Im the 9th quickest
car out there and have spent 1/2 the money.

And Quick your last comment would be perfect for Tony as for setting up his
window switch. When he gets some 1/2 shafts and D/Rs.He can shut it off and spray right out of the hole. The first time he gets a sub 1.60 60' he
will need a clean pair of shorts :D

Very true, however I believe Matt found that the oil had gotten too hot (again, another sign of eventual failure of something).

But there are quite a few cars out there still running the OEM trans without issue. uudluz being one of them. ;) I'm not saying, just saying...

Anthony hasn't been to the track since his new motor, nor have I.

    Cheap bastard.

That's what I said, I think. Except for the sub 1.60.

    Chicken

I can run 250 with my current setup, will need a controler for two stage. Looking at a N20/Methanol setup. Don't need any gas for the N2O.

If you can install it yourself and shop around you can get away with installing a basic N20 kit for around 1k...Maybe a little less if you buy used..

I got a like new kit for like $450 and that included the window switch .. but I still need a bottle warmer ($100), purge kit ($115), and blow down tube ($60)

the basic kit is zex #82177
    http://www.compperformancegroupstor...ore_Code=ZX&Product_Code=82177&Category_Code=
tbyrne performance has it for like 600 ... but check with our supporting vendors HHP (Josh) or BMC (Lisa)

if you drag race, you need the tuner kit too .. which should run you 300.

total kit with EVERYTHING you need will run you 9 bucks, shipped, brand new.

    I got quotes of $400 - $600 for install.

if your inexperienced with juice .. should i hit this install myself? I'm thinking it might be smart just to spend the easy 600 and its done you know..

holy shit .. those tanks are huge. I am going to have an interference with my Razors Edge 4pt rear strut brace .. if I mount the tanks anywhere other then directly behind the seats, im going to have an issue when I put my golf clubs in the truck

    awesome purge pics!

can you tell me more about purging .. some people are against it .. why?

    I must be stupid ..

did we confirm a windown switch activates the n2o at a specific rpm AS LONG AS you are at WOT ... AND ... you can control it to fire at specific gears only .. ie: no 1 or 3 but 2 and 4th ..

the pedal switch activates only at WOT .. so I'm at the starting line .. green light .. i mashed the gas (WOT) .. nitrous kits in, halfshafts blow out or 0 traction

just to be clear .. when you get in your car Scott, you open your truck and open the tanks .. you get home .. turn the car off .. open the trunk, close the tanks ..
its safe to have the tanks open while driving .. if I want to use the n2o .. again hypethetical ..

Ok .. the packages have arrived ...

zex kit 82177 .. zex window switch .. dynotune bottle warmer ...

all I need is a purge kit, blowdown tube and a nitrous plate or nitrous ported throttle body ..

the blowdown tube, I think I am going to use some flexible s/s line .. anyone do this??

Scott what throttle body are you using, or is it a nitrous plate. If its a plate, do you make them??
