So my wife and I are rather new to STL and haven't ventured out and just made a lot of friends but she met one lady our age and quickly became friends. Anyway she went with the other couple out for drinks one night and they have a Cadillac SRX, so he is bragging about it having 320hp and how bad it is. My wife tells him that he should ride in her car and proceeds to tell him about the charger. :)

They come get me so I can take him for a ride in it. In conversation he tells me that he has a GTO at home and it has 750hp, full roll cage the works. He says it will run the 1/8th with 9 second cars.

Anyway, I take him out and get on it pretty hard a few times... in the end he was very impressed with it. :thanks:

    Made me smile.

9 second 1/8 is not very good.... sure he didn't mean 1/4?

    Very cool Judd.

It is not often that a GM guy, especially a GTO owner gives props to our whips.

He wasn't saying his GTO runs 9's in the 1/8. He was saying that his car can run and compete with 9 second 1/4 mile cars in an 1/8. He has the gearing wrong and they get him on top end.

Thanks Ron! I was pretty proud. I wanted a ride in the GTO, it is streetable but he is having an electrical issue at this time.

If it's any consolation, I got what you meant the first time.

One of my good friends has and LS2 GTO (2006 6.0) they are very nice. I did a full detail on it and was very impressed with the interior featurs which were had alot more leather on the dash and doors than ours but our dash clusters are much nicer than the GTO. I just got a track tune from my new tuner which has me screaming off the line so I took him for a ride last night I got a call later saying he was in the prcoess of ordering air bags to even consider keeping up with the SRT off the line-LOL he was impressed.
