I didn't have to go to the dealer yet...but I may now if I want my car's serial number. I also like it better having it in text form on my computer. I can save it better and "dress it up" if I want to print it out.

It is strange that someone at Dodge Customer Service that readily has access to the "Build Sheet" AND the "Build Date" would not know the serial number (or maybe it is called the "Build Number"....you know computers...it only knows how to answer EXACTLY what you ask).
Maybe I should reword it and ask for the "Build Number" for the SRT8 when my car had it's "Build Date" .
I could probably also get them to give me the number of Inferno Red Chargers were built.

If you look at the bold text near the bottom of post #17....
    She told me:
"In regards to the serial number, we suggest that you contact your authorized dealership, as they are the best resource for this information."

I was interested if I could also get the "Build Number"....when I requested my info, I figured maybe they called it "Serial Number".

...Now I think I know what you mean....you want to know what number your car was as far as how many were built....you aint gonna find that....even the cars that have number plaques on their dashes were not actually correct......a SuperBee that has a plaque 101 of 425 may have actually been the 200th Bee off the line. The plaques are put on the cars randomly.......

My truck is 087/400 with the Night Runner package...Dodge cut production of the Ram SRT10s early and they never built 400 SRt10 Night Runners..

It's not a list, it's a link to chrysler customer service. You just send them an email asking for the build sheet, and someone will email you back with the build information.

EDIT: Which comes in handy for those us us who did not buy our cars new.

Don't even need to email them anymore, they're available online through their customer care. I've been able to go all the way back to 1992
