    It will start out as 1/8th mile only and then should swap over to 1/4 mile if there are no community complaints, exploding cars, etc.

    alameda county is the most anal of all with regards to the speed limit. hell, the entire island is 25 mph or lower.

    i cant see this flying, though, i might be completely wrong and their logic is pulling it off the streets and onto a safe playground. though for politicians to be smart enough to see that is a def switch.

    Yeah, considering they shut down what was it, a drift school or contests at a track because they thought it contributed to those stupid street shows in Oakland. Um, drift and being a jackass in an intersection, two different things...

    not really old, the older folks have since moved on....alameda is flooded with hippies who cant afford to live in berkeley.

    Whoa there now. Old people? Did you know that MOST City Counselmen/women are not "Old"? They are people who are CLUELESS as to what is what and believe EVERYTHING they see on TV.

    Most "Old" people you speak of are into Muscle cars and are up to speed on todays Automotive sports.
