Just got off the phone with Chris. He asked me to post this up for him.

He's on his way home from Sacramento. Didn't get a 10 today.

    Best was a 11.08 @ 127.5 with a 1.72 60'.

He couldn't launch hard. Best time was acheived on a roll out launch. He tried flash launches from idle and power brake to no avail. Just blew the DR's off. He didn't have time to get his 15" setup on the car so he could run his slicks. They are at home.
Chris said once he was in 2nd, everything worked great.
Bob from SVS was checking his plugs between each run. Said they looked good. Chris tried several tunes, but didn't do his best with the highest HP settings.

Chris. it was good to heard you got to run your car, ithought your 1st or 2nd shake down run would have gotten you a 10.8 - 10.7, then later in the day a 10.5 (with your step up tune)

But, it's all about Traction, it must be so different to got the drive by wire - ECU - Computer/Solenoid trans on the same page compared to old school, push the pedal - pull the rip cord.

Chris once again it was good to hear that you got some seat time & I bet it was good to owner to pull the leash on the beast, now it's time to trained it the way you want,

It sound like you will start the spring at about 10.8 and by the end of summer be mid to low 10's (10.6 - 10.3) & the diff should also be low 10's

Most of us now that a 127 mph = 10.7 ET, so if your doing this with no traction can wait to see what you will do with TRACTION

    Good Luck, my Friend

What is a roll out launch? Is that moving after the light turns green on the tree or is that rolling throught the staging lights? I never heard this term. I thought all times were from a standing start.

It means when the tree went down, Chris feathered lightly out of the hole and then mashed the gas.

Thanks, just never heard the term. Was hoping to see him make some nice 10's right off the bat. I think with this kind of power forget the dr's and put on slicks and hope you built a solid car! Still interested in what happened with your car at Techco. Hope it's something easy to fix!

Oh he can get in the 10's with DR's, just need to relearn the car. Remember, there are guys out there running 7's and 8's on DR's. haha

Yea, CMW will be tearing the motor down Monday. Stay tuned.
