Well we did some tuning on Jeff's (budoboy) 2007 Charger today. His current Mods: Stage 2 HHP Heads & Cam, Kooks LTs, RDP CAI, Zoomers Cat Back, and Ported Stock T-body. His baseline pull: 432HP/405TQ After some tuning: 461HP/436TQ
According to the tuner, I would have surpassed Mao's numbers if he could figure out how to get more than 20* timing at WOT. For some reason with mine ('07) the PCM/TCM would not allow any more that 17-20* at WOT and it would also add fuel at the same time although all spark tables specified 25* , no extra fuel was specified and with race gas there was no knock retard. Weird. Tuner said this wasn't an issue on Mao's '06 although he saw it on seven '07 RTs he recently tuned for CHiPs. Anyone else hear of this or know who might have a fix (I'm thinking Dave at B&G might have an idea). I'm leaving about 30HP on the table according to my tuner. I have 12 more HP and up to 50 more torque than Mao up to 5000 rpm when the timing is reduced and fuel is mysteriously added. I checked a datalog from the track with my SVS tune and it was the same issue (nothing above 20* at WOT).
Thanks, I hate acting like the middle man but obviously this problem directly affects me so I'm willing to do the legwork. I'll try AJ. I hope he's cool as i get the impression that many tuners don't like helping other tuners.
you can ask robert what year is hectors car? I know he did a supercharged RT a while back? who knows but I bet he would help you if you asked
budoboys new dyno numbers Throughout the years Mustang Dynos have shown larger numbers. If you were to dyno on a DynoJet, the numbers would be lower. The first time you dynoed at 127, was it on the same dyno you hit 149?
Why resurrect this thread??? Essentially these dyno numbers proved to be deceptive in the end. I ran faster at the track with my previous tune (which actually showed 455HP/410TQ on a superfow dyno. My best 1/4 run so far has been [email protected].
