Is The Replacent Of The Exhaust System, T Stat, R0diator, And Obtaining A Diablo Tuner Worth All The Money These Shops Are Charging. I Dont Know What To Believe, Some People Say Getting An Extra 25 - 30 Horses For $5k Plus Is Worth It, Others Claim You Get More Than 15 -25 Hp Increase, And Yet, Others Say You Dont Get More Than 35 Hp Increase. These Forums Are Totally Contradicting, Perhaps Due To Varied Public Opinion. Nevertheless, I Was Expecting To Obtain Somewhat Factual Data From These Forums. However, Since I've Researched Them I Am More Confused And Uncertain That When I Started My Search. Please Advise And Let Hear Your Comments. Thanks

If you are wanting a gain of around 25-30rwhp, then all you really need is a CAI, Catback, midpipes (optional), 180* T-stat, and the Diablo Predator (using the canned tune).

The above mods should not cost your more than 2K installed. And yes, they are worth the gains. These monsters will wake up like nobodies business.

And yes, everyone has their opinions, but a lot of the members on this site have been around since late 2005. This is before tuning was even an option. Not sure what forums or whom you are listening to, but I am sure the peeps here will chime in and agree with me on most of the listed. lol

Oh, and welcome to the Connection. How about some pics of that beauty of a car. We ALL love car porn. haha

my mods are CAI, exhaust, tstat and Diablo with a tune and I couldnt be happier...

the car is so much more responsive AND they are the best mods to do if you dont want to spend 5 - 6g for a blower. BUT if you do kick in for a blower, you need a CAI, exhaust, tstat and diablo LOL.

x2 Ron .. those basic mods shouldnt cost more then 2000 to 2500 installed

Yes its worth the money. I got 42 RWHP with JBA exhaust, 170 t-stat, AFE stage II CAI, and Predator canned tune. Heads and cam only got me 60 more.

Drivability, throttle response, more power under the curve, and it sounds so much better.
And last but not least, all those looks of envy.

AND the cost for parts and install of the heads and cam alone is FAR greater then what a CAI, exhaust tstat and diablo will cost you ...

Yep. That was my point, I guess I didn't make it very well.

CAI, exhaust, Predator, t-stat roughly $1500= 42 RWHP
    Heads, cam,i intake - $3500 in parts = 60 RWHP
    Supercharger - $5-6000 = 100-150 RWHP

I installed everything myself, so I didn't count labor at all.

really I thought it would be alot cheaper to do
go to an exhust shop get custom made catback for like 400 bucks
t stat and predator pls cold air intake from PPP as a package is under 600$ and you can install them all your self. but thats just my take on it all.

be warned once you start modding you cant stop see my sig I started witha jet horrle body spacer and cold air intake....... its a slippery path my friend

You can do it that cheaply. I added some cushion for people who like expensive exhaust cat-backs.

if you plan on doing anymore modifications these are almost a must

and if your not planning on them...they are still a must hahahaha :)

Remember if you keep an eye out you can get some good bargains on second hand performance mods. I bought my ported heads/intake, cam and torque converter used and saved alot (to spend on other mods :)
