thats one of the reasons i love autocross!! not everythings about strightline!! mini van won by like 2 secs!!

now a modern charger and the van it'll be a closer race.
the new charger may win but it could also still lose.

I would have bet my Srt that the Charger Daytona would have beaten that minivan easily by 5 seconds.

The Daytona is the car that set the first 200 mph lap in nascar. I think that stock they could do 150.

But a MINIVAN. Remember they added 4 passengers from the Gentlemans club.

It would have been even a bigger lap time difference.

Ya, but they set up the course to work better for the minivan and use all the Daytona's disavantages against it. You can usually set anything up to work in your favor, like the Prius vs the M3 in the gas milage debate.... it's not what you drive, it's how you drive it...Lol! I bet if they would have put Rick as the driver the Daytona would have won... either that or the Daytona would have fell apart due to the pounding... plus, Rick would have had to stop for a Quickie in the minivan before he finished the lap!

Psst...please. Autocrossing, I've beaten a Lotus Elise and also had my @ss handed to me by an 8 year old on a cart. No way should one run on an autocross be used to prove anything, a change in the course design that day, and the Charger could have won, or could have lost by 30 sec...But whatever, I guess Speed channel proved their point, Technology wins.

you can throw in a few more :ilovesrtc:

yeah you can set up the course differtenly but the only way you can really get more out of the charger is to put more strightline sections in the course. Solo is ment to be smooth and fast unlike autocross events put up by some churchs or companys that have the most screwed up course having some almost impossible turns that involve some backups if the best line is not used. other then that the out come will still be fairly close.
