I want a little more rumble out of my Corsa system so I decided to order the Magnaflow high flow catalytics, I have wanted them for a while now but kept holding off, so today I decided its on! Best price I found was $339.00 shipped from these guys http://www.wundercarparts.com/index.html There not a vendor here but they have some killer prices on certain things. Thinking about the ported throttle body next.
so I take it youre not selling it anymore??? I'm gonna do a ported TB also, I'm just waiting on Scott at BT to let me know when their core exchange is setup
Anthony its a hard sell for these cars right now, im getting low balled like crazy, ide rather burn it then give it away for what there offering. So ill just keep it a couple years pay it off and wait till the 6.4's come out, hopefully. Thanks bud, I may need the extra free flowing parts for things to come on the intake side :ronlove: Silly question but do you guys thing a tweek of the tune will be required after the hi flow's install?
tony - the hi flows are nice at high rpm, but you will lose a tad it of low end grunt. the ported tb is a great bang for the buck mod and scott at BT is your best bet!!! mine was one of the first ones him and dan did at BT and it rocks!!!
Oh I am pretty darn certain that the High Flow Cats will do very well with what Tony has going on right now...
Just tracked these and I will have them delivered tommorow, not to bad for free shipping. Hopefully have them on by this weekend!!
Don't expect these to change your exhaust sound too much, probably won't be able to tell. And I would advise you to re-tune, my AFRs were way different after I added them FYI. Eric
really?!??!?! I stayed away from headers and hi-flo cats cuz I thought they were going to make my exhaust louder
Ok guys I got them today and had them installed. Ran into a BS issue, when the primary o2 sensor Bank 1 was screwed into the bung they twisted the 4 wires so much at the factory when it was reinstalled the sensor did not read anymore the wires pretty much came out of the connector. It basically freaked the idle out, when driving the rpm's would not go under 1500 with no gas depressed I had to hit the brake for the rpms to lower to normal. Ofcourse I threw 2 codes one was high voltage bank 1 o2 heater and the other was a weird one where it thought the primary and secondary sensors were swapped and trust me there not. A new primary o2 sensor will be ordered by my guy tommorow and installed. Now I got 5 minutes of driving before the above mentioned failure occured and all I can say is WOW, sound with my Corsa system has increased and the butt dyno I must say is pretty happy, from a 20 roll I WOT and the exhaust came to life and I basically went down the street almost sideways smoking the tires, I FUCKING LOVE IT. I also realized that I need tires my tread is REALLY low and I really have only done 4 burnouts with my Charger and they really werent that long. WTF these F1's suck!!!! All in all im VERY happy with the Magnaflow hi flows and for the $330 I spent on them is well worth it IMHO, ide like to put it on a dyno and tweak the tune now.
Brother I may have to agree with you, on them there is a stamp in BIG LETTERS for off road use only. I cant wait until tommorow when I get the primary o2 replaced, that may be the end of my tires!!!!! :mains:
Did you have to make an offer or were they advertised at that price? I just went to buy some after looking at what you got them for and they were marked at $443 or something. I made an offer though....
I saw them advertised at $443.90 (not the lowest price from even vendors) at the same site...I couldn't find $339.00 price. http://www.wundercarparts.com/ShopByCategory.epc?q=2006-DODGE-Charger&catid=10%40%40Exhaust%2FClutch&subcatid=154%40%40Catalytic+Converter&yearid=2006%40%402006&makeid=23%40%40DODGE%40%40B&modelid=4614%40%40CHARGER&engineid=33706@@V8%2D6059cc+6%2E1L+F%2FI+Vin+W+%28SRT8%29@@33706&mode=PA&waitdisplay=True&rewrite= ..
