Have fun. That's why I write checks. I don't have any interference with my peeing that way.

Have fun Anthony. Maybe you should go a head and 1)use those knee pads you love so much and 2) put those depends on so peeing doesn't get in the way. haha

    HAHAHAHA! you bastard!!!!

I have makeshift kneepads set aside for the moment (I figure they might come in handy when I have to ask someone for help) and as for the depends .. none are available at the moment .. I have however wrapped myself with super absorbant paper towels, securing them to myself by using that blue painters tape as to not get caught on my pubes when I change myself .. :rofl2::rofl2:

    update #4 ...

The paddles are finished, I just have to clean up some wiring and since I'm anal retentive, I have to clean everything 5 times, vacuum where the center console goes etc ...

Dan - FlyByU offered his help tonight just to discuss the layout and making sure I fully understand how this unit works and I wired everything correctly

Overall, the install was straight forward .. I recommend fully reading and rereading all of the instructions and forum write ups ..

I will post pics tomorrow of the finished deal ...

    Install time ...
    30 - 40 mins -
break down (note: dont try taking the wheel off by yourself, its a pain in the balls)
    90 mins -
run all the wiring, taping everything together, taking my time for a clean install
    90 mins -
layout, cutting and wiring of paddles to steering wheel. This is time spent at your work table .. take your time and concentrate .. dont try this without an Xacto knife
    30 mins -
testing .. connecting battery, checking all connections and paddle functioning ..
    20 - 30 mins -
    assembly and clean up.

I was hungover yesterday so these times may be a little slow but like i said, this was something I took my time on.

Thanks for your help, support and laughs gents ...

    Pictures to come later ..

Cool Anthony!! Glad you got it all put in bro, awsome!! I got my paddles last week and now just have to gear myself up for the install, lol! I'm like you, very anal bout cleanliness and having everything in order so I bet my install times will be even LONGER than yours, lmao!!

Hey so what was the prob with removing the steering wheel? What am I gonna need??

(btw that's one sweet collection of killer rides there!!)

Thanks Scott .. I appreciate the kind words! Unfortunately I cant claim all of those rides .. just the red 67 and my SRT!

As for the time, if your more experienced with wiring and taking your dash apart you can do it in half the time .. I vacuumed around the shifter and cleaned this and that while installing so ...

OH ALSO .. I installed the Mopar Ipod Integrated kit (the one that runs through the satellite) so I had a lot of those wires inside the dash that I had to run the paddle wires around ...

Like I said, I took my time to understand everything, I had the TV on and just made the afternoon out of it. No distractions so it was nice. Like we talked about, lay out all the parts, break down the dash .. read and reread the directions with everything in eye sight so you can put it all together in your mind. It is not too difficult, some questions came up as to how and why, but that was based on things either not detailed in the instructions or a write-up on lx forums confused me.

The steering wheel is connected through a 10mm flat head screw. You will need to set-up a 10mm allen head socket to a 3/8 or 1/2" rachet with about a 6" - 8" extension .. the wheel will turn as your lossening the bolt, so you will need to either rig something to prevent the wheel from turning as you loosen the bolt, get a steering wheel removal kit or just get a buddy to hold the wheel as you break the screw loose. With help, the wheel came off in 30 seconds .. without help it took me an unsuccessful hour of dicking around looking for a way to rig the wheel ...

I will PM you my cell number .. call me during the install with questions!

Ok, gotcha, thanks. My buddy is gonna help so we shouldn't have a prob with the wheel but you never know (yea, pm me your number just in case and THANKS!!). Not sure when I'm gonna install it tho, soon hopefully, dying to try these out! Have you, how do they work, like advertised??
