Car Is under warranty so I can take it in but I would like to have an idea of what's going on first. Under acceleration from a stop, it will almost stall. It feels as though the traction control has kicked in, like a loss of power... However the traction control light never kicks on. This doesn't happen everytime and it is inconsistant. I don't think I can just reproduce it for a mechanic on command. HELP!!! Judd
I had a crank position sensor go on mine. Similar symptoms. When it got worse, the car would buck like it was a stick shift and you let the clutch out too early.
I am having the same problem. I just put up a post a couple of days ago regarding the samething. I have been told it could be my TCM/PCM module.
hmmmm........... I would like a way to find out before taking it to the stealership. How often does yours do it? I can't pin mine down yet, i would guess once a week. At first I thought that traction control was kicking in but the light wasn't coming on....however now I am not sure.
does this happen under wot or just regular part throttle accel???? does it only happen from a dead stop or does it ever happen when accel while at speeds???
Have you tried a PCM reset? I probably would not. Here's why. Right now your PCM has all the diagnostic readings and/or codes for any problems with external sensors (This is why you may not need to reproduce the problem) because a "good" technician can get this info when he hooks up the diagnostc computer. If you reset your PCM to see if it solves the problem and it doesn't, then you are going to take the car in under warranty. Because you reset the PCM (clearing all diagnostic memory)... the "technicians" will not easily find out the problem or he may only replace/fix 1 component and the problem was also in another. ..
Does not due it under WOT or hard accel. Typically under normal accel and from a stop. Today I turned right from a stop sign and was under easy accel. I think that is usually the case. I won't reset anything.
