I go in and say "I am having trouble with my power steering pump...its been acting up for a while" their answer "no it hasnt...we haven't had any issues with any of them on any SRT Chargers we sold!" my response "You haven't sold more than 4 SRT chargers if that in the entire time they have been available" their response "We still haven't seen any issues" so apparently since their ULTRA HIGH VOLUME SRT sales havent shown any PSP problems....CLEARLY mine is fine....and all that fluid on my drive way....and the fact that THEY ALREADY HAD TO SERVICE IT ONCE is all a figmant of my imagination.... god i hate dealers lol
bwahahahahaha Glad my dealership isn't like that. It's funny how THEY know your car better than you. lol And you can tell them that I have had mine replaced TWICE. Cam has replaced his 5 times... And I know of a few others that have had theirs replaced as well.
even if i did they woulda been like "well we didnt sell it so we dont know" lol I am going back there one more time for my free oil change....then im going to a different dealers service dept....every time i go int here for ANYTHING they fucking fight you about it and get SO defensive its really annoying and guess what....not goin there anymore lol
Steve thank god I found a good dealer that works with me because a responce like that to me from a dealer at this point will merit be kicking the shit out of the service manager. Im so fed up with half ass service from these MORONS. Mine is at the dealer right now also having the headlight switch replaced, passenger headlamp due to water inside the housing ( im on my second pair of headlamps) obviously Dodge cant make headlamps that keep the water on the outside not the inside. Im also getting a thumping noise in reverse when I back up from the front, I looked under there and it looks like the 2 front tires have the weights on the outer part of the rims and when the tire does a full revolution the weights are hitting something under there, so little clearance and they put weights you hang off the end of the rim, unreal.
Well, once the new motor goes in the car will ONLY go to AJ down in the city....I dont even care that its far I need to know the person working on my car has a clue lol
I had to have mine replaced about 6 months ago. It took them 4 days to complete it. This was done at Winter Park Dodge in Winter Park Florida superbee, Frank
Stevo, give me the guys name and dealerships number ... WTF!! I wanna tell this jerkoff that my power steering pump have been replaced TWICE ... AND THE FUCKING RACK WAS REPLACED ONCE ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!! FUUUUUCKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!
dude i remember your post about that crap..... im temped to just be like give me a new pump and dont even bother....when the new motor goes in ill just have it put on then
yeah .. they broke my balls when I took the car in for warranty .. AND .. they parked the car against the curb (scratching the front fascia) AND got grease on the cloth section of the door panels .. so yeah ... I hope that explains my bitterness to everyone .. pieces of shit
Unfortunately dealers are one of those necessary evils you have to deal with when you have a warranty. Earlier this week I called my local dealer to ask about a couple of problems: the windows squeek when you put them up or down and the seat track feels like its sticking when you move the seat. The dealer told me to go to the autoparts store and buy some grease for the tracks and silicone lube for the door seals... I would have thought this would be covered under warranty for this. They were also unaware of the trunk speaker "heartbeat" noise. I even gave him the TSB and he still had no idea what I was talking about. I guess they've never fixed this issue on any cars.
yeah im takin the truck to another dealer that is more specialized in trucks....i am done with these guys..... at least they are detailing the truck inside and out.....it was DISGUSTING hahahahaha
My bro's is giving out too, along with his trunk release motor, good thing Melloy Dodge in ABQ is real good about warranty work.
Fortunely my dealer bends over backwards for me...and I am not alone...everyone that I know that goes to my dealer likes them.......if my dealer had answered me like Steve's I wouldnt ever let them touch a vehicle of mine again...
what sucks is....the Sales guys do.... i always tell the story about how i needed my gauges installed.... so Jay (the sales manager) opened the service department up on a sunday for me to put my car on the lift and installed them with me for nothing theres doing stuff to keep business and get business....and then theres above and beyond and thats above and beyond since i already bought a truck and a car and was in no way looking for another one anytime soon.... the service guys are just assholes so no...they wont touch my cars again lol....
I have the same problem at my dealer. The Service Manager is just a complete tool. Can't accept the fact that I know just a little more about what is going on with my car than he does. He wants to give me a hassle about every little thing, doubting that what I am saying is truthful. After about the third time dealing with his attitude, I called him out on it right in front of everyone - techs, customers and all. Even had to get Chrysler Customer Service involved once and they got me on a three way call with the Service Manager and I told him that he did not know his ass from a hole in the ground. Chrysler agreed that I was right and told him to fix the problem (cottage cheese in the coolant). I still go there. We don't get along at all and everyone there knows it but I am not backing down from the moron. The Service Tech that works on my car is super cool and treats my car like it is his own.
The first post reminds me of that old cartoon: "Sir, I don't care what you see, the computer saays we don't have any". Ya gotta luv them dealerships.
Pfft, friggin dealers, they never quit. Sorry to hear Stevo, I count my blessings every time I read a thread like this that I found a good one. Dealers = Fail.
