If there is anyone in the Orange County area who has an SRT8 with either just Zoomers or Corsa exhaust, please let me know. I'm interested in hearing both in person. I've listened to dozens of sound clips on youtube, but I really need to hear them in person. So, if anyone has either one, I'd be happy to treat to a Starbucks coffee for the chance to hear your car. Thanks.
I know you are looking for an in-person review, but here is a video I did of my ride with the Zoomers...better than the utube videos I think... http://www.fquick.com/videos/Zoomers_Exhaust_on_my_Charger_SRT8/7002
I would come let you listen to my BWoody exhaust for a Starbucks. Of course I will only be available (with the car) until 11:00 tomorrow. Stop by Techco around 11 as a few of us are going to do lunch.
FoleySRT8, Thanks for the sound clip. The car does sound good. 1Bad4dr, I'm not sure where Techno is?
As popular as the Zoomers exhaust is, I would have thought there would have been at least 1 person in Orange County with a car I could listen too. Maybe not.
Find a local M&G bro, I'm sure you'll find someone there with the exhausts you're looking for, just cause you didn't get many replies here doesn't mean there's no one out there than can help you. I'd let you listen to my Mopar/Corsa but I'm up in SJ.
Well the ride won't be back on the road for a week, but let me know if you can wait that long and you can hear the Zoomers. I'm in the OC all the time.
Call me, I've almost always got one or the other or both to listen to. We're almost finished with our production catback as well. I'll let you take that in for a sample. I've always been a Corsa guy, so the sound we're trying to capture will be similar to both, but with a little more american muscle and a little less Euro than Zoomers. Ours will also have Carbon Fiber barrels.
I finally pulled the trigger and bought the Zoomers exhaust. The guys at Zoomers in Irvine did the installation on Friday. They did a great job and even let me watch and ask questions. The polished exhaust is so nice it seems like a shame its hidden under the car. When they started the car up it sounded great. It has a nice deep rumble at startup and at idle. The car is definitely alot louder than it was. It took me a weekend of driving to get use to having a car that isn't quiet. Now I really love it. The exhaust turns heads every where I go. Thanks again for all the advice.
Very cool!. Give it a few hundred miles and it gets even better. And sorry we haven't hooked up, my ride is still down.
Yeah, the first thing I noticed after I got my Zoomers installed was how LOUD it was. I thought the car had presence before, but that was nothing compared to how it is now. An added bonus is that the Zoomers put the baby and any other passengers to sleep when I'm at speed. Congratulations, and welcome to the club.
You call this sound euro??? http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/?action=view¤t=Sep202008-VID00030.flv Right, right. :dumb:
Wiked, congrats, I think you would have been happy either way brutha, both rock! I heard Zoomers on a Maggie at the dealership one day and was just shocked it sounded so killer! Very loud, louder than the Corsa/Mopar at idle and most driving and a deeper muscle-car type tone to it. Cam's right, imo the Zoomers is more American Muscle while the Corsa is more European, not that that's bad, both are very cool. Personally I love the "Gates of Hell opening" sound at WOT of the Corsa, scares the shiat out of ricers, hahahhaa!!
