how is the viper better? it still drives like a racecar. who wants a racecar to drive on the weekends? not this guy. the best part about the corvette is it is a powerhouse that you can drive in the city.

if i wanted a racecar, i would drop a ls2 stroker into an rx7 add a turbo and still be under $30k.

haha nevin i totally blanked on where you live out there in the sticks. ;)

the roads suck though so you could use it where exactly? i guess i should ask if anyone has driven one of the new vipers, let alone the new acr (i havent but i hear its rougher than the srt10 i rented in vegas).

thats why im such a fan of the zo6 and its big brother the zr1 (havent driven the zr1 yet) its suspension is firm but not overly so where youre feeling your teeth shake loose.

the roads are fine out here just as long as you watch the potholes we have pretty dicent roads out here.

and if i had one I'd be racing it!!!:future: SCCA wise id be in a pretty shitty class but it'll still be fun.

I remmber the 08 from the exp. but I have to again with you drk. Its a race car I would also rather have the vett. ut it would have to be a zr1. And I would take that rx7 ls2 stroker turbo any day of the week. That is what my next car/big build is. just waiting fo the 97rx7 to come down in vaule

    I DO!!!

You want a rough ride? Try a SRT-10 RC. Makes the CompCoupe feel like a '94 Eldorado.

And still be checking out the tail lights of the new ACR.
Power is nothing without control, and the ACR has the handling/braking to out-corner any big block in an RX setup.

    1 down (The Ring).
    1 to go.

ill def give you the power with control thing, but the srt10 acr with the wing looks gay as hell. i dont want a car only for the track. i want a toy i can drive everyday. something that makes me want to get up every morning and make that drive to work. if i got it for free, the first mod i would do is rip that wing off. performance be damned.

im not saying that the acr isnt cool, i just would never, ever buy one. i just dont race that much....and neither does anyone else here with the small exception of rick. haha, i believe that dude would take that acr out on his proving ground if money werent an object.

oh and ive driven a rc srt10. it wasnt nearly as bad as the viper i drove in vegas.

Then you'd be removing 1100 lbs. of downforce. :)

The wing is a little tough to deal with at first, but unlike 98% of the cars on the streets today, it's there for a reason.

If you agree with the power/control statement, then you have to accept the wing as it's an integral and important part of control.

Want an ugly *and* (pretty much) useless wing?
    Think STi.

oh yeah, i know all the specs by now. the car needs it thats for sure, just like the koenig needs one. the problem is it doesnt stop being crappy looking just because its actually there for a purpose. wings = gay, the end. the chsrt8 wing is even gay imho, just a lil less because its not blatant.

look at ferrari and others, they are able to match the downforce by modifications to below the vehicle. the srt10 doesnt do this except in the rear and fore of the vehicle.

I would enjoy sliding into her every morning and straping on my harness and pull out and head to work.

then on the weekend i would bust a nut sliding into her strapping on my harness and throwing on my helmet and taking some corner at the track or killing some cones in a parking lot.

wait i pretty much do that now with my skittle!!!

Please name one ferrari that gives 1000 lbs of downforce at 150MPH without a wing, now that you found the enzo how much more does it cost? Thats right..... How much more does the ZR1 cost then the viper? 10,000 MSRP more. So sorry not only is it the cheapest but its the fastest, make the viper cost 300,000 and I can gaurentee you it would out perform the enzo and yes without a wing.

And yes Ive driven a viper 96 RT/10 and a 97 B/W GTS I would absoultely have no problems driving it everyday is it rough and tough sure but it is still is comfortable for me yes its no ferrari or porsche but then again its not over 100,000 used. Just my 2 cents have a nice day :D

oh wow, pricing brought up again.....is that really all we can muster? a price comparison? isnt that the gayest excuse of all? "oh yeah? well my car costs half of what yours did...neener, neener, neener...lmao.

this is what the ricers say when they lose to one of our cars. not what we come back with as an excuse.

fyi, the f430 scuderia creates the same amount of downforce as the enzo. ferrari is introducing it in all their new high perf line. look for it in the new gtb as well.

why the hell bring up cost in the first place? i was talking about tech, not cost. if dodge had have the engineering skill that ferrari does, i wouldnt have to look at a gay wing on the back of the acr.

my argument is as a DD. a regular person (like me) cannot and will not drive an acr everyday. it just would seriously suck. can i drive a zr1 everyday? i would sure as hell be willing to give it a try. oh and both those vipers you mentioned dont have nearly the stiff ride that the acr would have. true, i havent driven the acr yet, but i hear it is very stiff.
