Nice time!!! What happened off the line? Looks like the other guy got you on the launch with a 2.40? and then you still ran a 11.57?

 

That was Sarge "Stanko" in his 426 Jeep. The Vortech for the Jeep pulls HARD on the top end. What is even more impressive is the fact that Paul is STOCK with just the Vortech can you imagine with full bolt ons and a good tune....

 

That Vortech kit really levels the playing field.

 

so you mean to tell me that pauls jeep runs 11.57 with a stock motor and vortech..... steves jeep ran 11.9x with built 426, heads,etc........ wow, a lot can be said for adding blowers vs. the cost of n/a strokers......

both jeeps are badazz!!! would hate to meet them on the road one day!!! lol

on that run yes Steve didn't run to well... he was trying different tunes... but later in the day he was running 11.61 every lap... I have run of 4 runs in a row... hot lapping... 11.61, 11.61, 11.61, 11.64
That is dam good...

Paul's Jeep was running 11.64 and a little bit more all day...

One thing I did notice about the Jeep's, is once the tranny gets hot... they don't run the same... they need to be cooled down a lot...

 

Tranny and Intake Manifold heat kill performance on the Jeep. That is why I went with Amsoil in the tranny and bring a heat gun to the track and scan the manifold to make sure its under 100 degrees before running again. Amsoil tranny fluid dropped my tranny temps by 80 degrees

 

I think we need to teach Paul about reaction time, haha. I think it's safe to say that Steve and Pauls Jeep are almost exactly the same when it comes to power. One just cost a third of the price! HAHAHA! Poor Steve...I love ya man.

 

Tam you can teach them how to launch!!

 

like i said...... both jeeps are friggin animals, but a lot can be said for the blower cars as for cost vs. performance.........

Way to go Paul. I didn't think a SC would get you that quick. I don't think any of the other SoCal guys that have Vortechs have ever been close to a drag strip.

 

Hey TAM i heard you made some good passes. Did you run your jeep also?

 

I was testing different tunes and logging results when we did that run.......once he got hot it was a different story.....lol!

Although bang for the buck.......The Vortech is very impressive!

Well Adam went and with traction issues and blowing the main coupler off still ran a 12...oh yeah blowing it off on the 1-2 shift so like I said give me a little bit as the traction issues arent going to be an issue for me for long...

And I told you Hal there was a good bit of power in them but you didnt believe

 

Have I not been saying this for a loooong time lol!

 

That's why the Jeeps are surperior to the lx and ly platforms!!!

The traction is included in the package!
