Thanks to Freebird .. I just bought the AMG Paddles and Wiring Harness from the guys on LXF ...

I feel like I am pretty mechanical .. I'm good with tools ... but a complete idiot with wiring ...

I know the sites have good D-I-Y guides but still ...

Words of encouragement would be appreciated, but if I am going to fuck myself .. please let me know and I will acquire someone's services in my area!

Another note ... I plan on going with a vortech supercharger .. new or used, what is the total cost I should plan to spend?

From what I understand, you might want to have a good wire man on stand by?

Go look for SDCarguys feeler thread (made today). John is thinking about selling his Vortech kit (4500).

Good luck Anthony. And there is a DIY here for installing the paddles.

I paid 2000k for my paxton kit. then spend about 1200k in parts and 800 on the install.

Ah, I'm still about 6 months away from doing the s/c but thnaks for that info ... I thought SDCarguys just did his system too .. thats a shame he's selling it .. good price ..

if I were to buy his system though .. is it 4500$ and I they pay for install and a tune .. so I should look at 6g's overall .. isnt that the same new?

With the paddles .. I'm gonna give it a shot .. how bad can I fuck it up huh?!?!

now thats a sweet ass deal ... who'd you blow for that kinda price???

I just did the paddles this week. Take your time and go over the pictures online and instructions a few times. Having everything in front of you makes it much easier.

Plcman posted up his cell number on a few of the threads if you need any help. He is a life saver. Junior is a huge help as well, his tutorials on the install are perfect.

You know the best place to test out those paddles is at our Road Course rental :) Not that far from you at all. Millville, NJ

Actually its about 6500 new and that comes with a vortech tune and no install...so mines 4500 with vortech tune and a pre drilled dampner which will save you on install...Oh and mines 8psi and the stock kit is 6 :) so you would be saving about 2 grand or so...

Yeah I read the instructions and reviewed both of their threads a couple times before I bought them .. I plan to post something over there to spark that reactioon from Plcman .. if I can have an emergency contact, that will be good ...

How long did it take you to install them ..

Mark me down for your track day .. and add 1 if a modded trailblazer ss is allowed to come ...

curiousity again ... is that tune able to be transferred from your car to mine?

how/why are you running 8 lbs over 6?

I was one of the r&d kits to test 8psi. The tune is a base tune in the vortech pred and does transfer but my custom tune would not. I would suggest a custom tune but the standard vortech does make decent power. My custom netted me 10-15hp and 20tq across the board and wasnt even finished.

Hey Anthony, where did you find instructions? Or are you just talking about the threads? I've been reading up but it's a little confusing since one thread seems to conflict with another (I'm assuming they've been updated over time). I just need the simple ... 'Here's how to do it Scott ..." haha

Scott, there's a couple of different paddles available (3 different kinds now?). Make sure the how-to you're looking at is for the AMG paddles.

Oh man I hear you ...

I was looking at the instructions through different threads .. and they all conflict in some way or another ...

Listen ... I messed PLCman who makes the board and voiced my concerns .. he told me that in with the board comes a CD with PDF files showing the proper installation methods ... I will receive my package tomorrow.

PM me your email address and I will email you the PDF files so you can review them before you make the decision to install the paddles or not.

    Sound good???
