Other than the cigarette lighter...Anyone know of another way to get power to an A/F gauge?

Any help appreciated? I know that the lighter will work fine but just thought someone might have found something different.

    THANKS

I'm wiring up his wideband Saturday and trying to find another source for KEYED power. If I run his power off the battery will his wideband turn off when he turns the Jeep off??????

One of the 12v outlets for accessories is powered on and off from the key cycle, I dont remember which one though, but my Charger is the same way.

I tried looking for one on the jeep when I did mine but they would either not work or stay HOT when the key was off

So far on mine I tapped into one of my dash cig lighters only drawback is that it pulls wattage from that making it useless. It made my radar detector wig out.

Side note I thought of you this morning when on Good Morning America was doing the story on the woman who lost her feet and ankles due to ecoli she was fighting with BC/BS who refused to pay (was very sad) but the State overturned their decision and she got the $100,000 legs that allowed her to bend her knees

i actually caught that as well!!! i hav done work for that practitioner they interviewed!! good guy. did not make that womans legs that i can recall, but i do so much work for the people in that area i very could have done them!!! hahahaha

sad part is that the insurance company referred to the set up as "experimental"...... those "c-legs" are common place in todays prosthetic world!!! they have been out for close to 10 years!!!! lol i work with them on a daily basis!!!

btw - to get back on topic....... where should i hook my a/f power supply dammit!!!! i want some friggin answers from all you "smart" peeps!!! lol

I guess on yours test each unused fuse spot under the hood and see if any become hot only when the key is turned on. I'm really surprised with all the guys running guages on here that no one knows this answer, especially for Legmakers ride.

I have a second 'lighter' in my center console.....Is that because of the rear seat DVD or is that standard in all SRT's??

Clearly, I don't know if the jeeps have it...

NOt sure if you found one, but there is one under the driver's side, above the footwell. I'll see if I can get a photo of it.
