Let me start off with an apology!! I apologize because there is a kid out there in a SS camaro that is bragging to everyone he sees how he can wax a srt8 charger.

Took me a day just to be able to post this. Yesterday I was driving around St Peters and a SS camaro and I met going opposite directions. He pulled a U turn and hurried to catch up to me. He got up beside me and acceled some and honked his horn...I just smiled and waved....then he hit the gas and was gone....!!!!.. He pulled a couple car lengths hard. So he slows down and I pull up beside him again...I was ready this time. He honked the horn and I hesitated and he went again....he pulled about a half a car by the time I hit the throttle. By the time it engaged he was a whole car. He didn't pull any further than that... I started to reel him in when he shut it down. Hole thing was well under 1/8th mile.

sorry guys.........I'll be ready next time.

You will whip a basically stock SS. Even one with bolt ons and a tune is no match for a stock SRT8.

Just like a typical ricer... take off first, then let out when realization of a loss is coming. haha

    Go get em.

That turd is sitting next to me right now for the holidays. He didn't quite figure out forum etiquette and took it personally when I called him to tell him he was "bashing" in some political thread a while back! How funny is it that "I" had to correct him on forum etiquette?!!! LOL

Dont fret, there are some of us out there doing our part...
I took down some bozo on a cruiser style motorcycle today. He took off from a light all bad ass like so I pulled up next to him at the next light. I pulled him hard till about 80, then just as he started to walk his way up, I had to go right onto the highway... I sorta felt bad for the guy, all bad ass as he was, getting punked by a wagon.

I love the wagons especially taking others down! There's just something morally demeaning about it! Good job brother!

I am pretty sure he wasn't a stock SS. I know that loss was all on me and not the car, but he was cruising up and down the road looking for someone to play with.

Makes me start thinking hard about a supercharger. :) If I just had the cash laying around, I would have it installed this week and go looking for him this weekend. **sigh**

    I HATE getting beat.

His car had a little whine to it...I don't have a trained ear but would guess that maybe he had a charger of some kind.

A S/C'd SS should be a low 12 car stock so I doubt it was blown. What mods are you running? Anyways...I try and get the jump on people just for the fact that when you nail the throttle in D, it always takes a second before it seems to kick-down. If I'm in autostick, then I just nail it.

Only mod I have is a K&N intake. They only rate it for 21 more hp, so not much.

I never noticed the lag in D, until I needed it. lol... you are right, it is there for sure. I had never done anything like street race before. Not like that, so I didn't know he was going to honk and then nail it. I WILL be ready next time.

I will switch off traction control and when he honks I will hammer. :)

By the way........what are we stock or with an intake like mine? Upper 12's or 13 second car?

Kinda depends on where you live, you don't see to many stock SRTs in the 12's unless they are running at sealevel and have really good conditions. More like mid to low 13's.

I am in STL, so I am a mid to low 13's car. Ok...was just wondering.

I have to figure out how to make this thing respectable around here, without killing my Daily Driving and pocket book.
There are a lot of so called FAST SRT4's running around this town... a LOT

Yea, but it really doesn't matter if both cars are in the same city...

    LT1 - high 13 to 14 sec car stock
    LS1 - low 13 second car stock
    modded LT1 (heads cam) - low 13
modded LS1 (heads cam) - mid to low 12
blown or nitrous LS1 (modded) - low 11s

heads up, its a pretty fair race, but they still are a faster car. plus its a lot easier to make them even faster.

so yeah, i wouldnt just go around willy nilly looking to beat one up.

Not........ I am looking to Beat THIS one up. :)

I shifted myself the other day and seemed to be slower. When I clicked over it really hesitated to shift up. Probably something I am doing wrong.

its slower in the manumatic mode unless you have the diablo. keep it in D and just learn where your ride makes its power at what rpm level. mine is around 3500-4000.
