So come on......tell me what you know. Let's talk HID. What are you running? What would you do different?? What color are they??? Has anyone tried some of the replacement Xenon bulbs or the sylvanias or anything like that?? My goals in the end will be blue color to match the inside of the car and the hood.
Well I have the projection lights with HID's installed (so does Legmaker) and all I can say is NIGHT and day. I will NEVER have OEM bulbs again. Unfortunately we no longer have a Vendor that supplies the HIDs... Oh yea, and if you have ANY electrics added (non OEM) to your car, you will need at least a 15 amp ballast.
Not sure if he is a vendor here or not but Matt at dabears2k has some really simple plug and play kits that have worked great. I switched from my last set to these since I had some slight flickering when i would shift into reverse and the fans came on...so load These kits havent flickered once and that have hardly any wiring. I think they are about 150 a kit. I have 5k in now and had 6k before. The 5k are very bright white and I get more people flashing me now then I did with the 6ks.
I'm running XenonDepot HID 6500K lows/fogs and have installed their 8000K kit. I know they are a vendor on VTCOA and the red site and have asked him to join here but he has not. Good kit though comes with relays for both fogs and lows
yes they are K is the light specturm 5K is a whiter light and 50K is more blue higher the K the bluer they get till they start turning purple.
*Note* Those with Projectors every HID system with projectors (not reflectors) will have a color shift in appearance (visible as you approach an oncoming vehicle or as seen by illuminating your headlights on a white wall) there is that line of blue/purple (and other colors, however minimal) that is generated as the light source bends around the cutoff in your projector headlamp. Now, the whiter the light, the more definition of a blue/purple cutoff you will have. So, if you have 4300k HIDs installed, that cutoff that you and everyone will see, will have a significant amount of blue/purple and a little gold, (pink perhaps too) at the horizon... very defined and eyecatching.
I have been using Autodrivenmotorsports.com HID they were 199 for lows and fogs. I have had them for 8 months not one problem and they were plug and play a child could install them. I went with 8k blue but not police stop me blue lol. But you know they are blue and everything on the road, signs etc are blue. And as said before I will never drive a car without HID's it really is night and day.
TIP: The search engines on most forums requires a minimum of 4 letters. When searching for three-letter items, use an " * " as the 4th letter.
I get nothing when I look for Autodrivenmotorsports.com There are soooo many of these HID kits...... I found one for $95 with a money back guarantee and you can add a 3 year warranty for $27. For that price, I just might have to try it.
I am checking out the depot also. I think I have it narrowed down to the depot or xenoneyes. The eyes are cheaper.... a real good price. Just not sure which to go with. I asked about the other place because he said he got the lows and the fogs together... I can't find that anywhere.
Looking at the projector headlights....... is that a better idea instead of the HID conversion kit? I ask because they are the same price. I could get them and always upgrade them to HID later. opinions?? I wondered what the projection headlights would look like with silverstar ultras
I'm not a fan of projector and they look funny if you ever convert to HID as the beam is narrow just go with HID and you will be happy. I like the XD HID kit, very well put together and comes with all you need
This might be the case for the Jeep, but it is certainly not on the Chargers. I know that my HID's (with projectors) and Legmakers have a very wide beam. And it is controlled. What I mean is the projectors not only give a nice wide range, the head on beam does not get lost in the sky.

This comment does not make sense when you go back and read your first comment about "Narrow". To me, Narrow means the width of the light does not shine on the sides of the road. This is absolutely not true. Hell, my width viewing is good that I have to double take to see if my HID fog lights are on...
Hey I saw what I saw when I had my HID kit up against a Jeep with Projector HID and I had a wider light spread. Well it could of been a Texas thing because you know everything is bigger here right!!! Now I know some kits being sold as projectors are just really reflectors, IDK try not to read much into it as not every kit is made the same
