The family and I went to lunch yesterday and managed to park next to what is apparently a Louisiana Cop car:

This thing had lights... It also had a radar setup so I can only deduce it was an enforcement vehicle vice some detective's cruise.

So, if you are anywhere near Shreveport Louisiana, beware the SRT-8...

Oh snap! That's cool!!! If I was an LEO I would want that to be my patrol vehicle.

I've seen a Black CSRT8 as an unmarked on a show called "Speeders" on TruTv. Pretty cool!

Nice...I wonder if they do one of those 50% programs. I've heard some P.D. allow you too use your personal car, they pay 1/2, and out fit it with the lights and markings. Not sure if that is true...but it would be kinda cool to get to drive a corvette Z06 100+ mph for 1/2 price with all the get out of my way lights flashing.

    <---off in a daydream.

I think so too. There were identical ones right below the "Hemi" on the front fender as well. This thing had lights everywhere, did ya notice the lights above the license plate?

    Exactly...

Very cool car! but...it's no doubt they bait in Louisiana...

I got pulled over there (On I-20) for having out of state plates. Officer didn't think it was was funny when I laughingly explained "interstates" connect one state to another. Shorthly thereafter my vehicle was searched...

Haha that is classic. Seems weird though as many plates in Louisiana are from other states, he must have wanted a better look for some other reason. Were you smoking blunts or something? ;-)

I can just see the look on the Cop's face once he digested your explanation.

Wish our department had a 50% program. The only people lucky enough to get R/T Chargers are Accident Investigators and Drug Interdiction.

Could of been a car from a drug seize that they are utilizing which would make since as most of the srt8 Charger owners are big pimpin drug dealers....

Just saw a Florida Highway Patrol vehicle on I-4 in Tampa over the weekend that was an SRT-8 Charger. I thought it was awesome! Never seen one for a FHP, they usually have the Crown Vics and then the Camaro's for the high speed chases. After seeing that I guess they picked up some Charger's which I think its bad ass!
