Well, Ron and I stayed close to home, after we went to Starbucks and ended up visiting with a couple Deputy Sheriffs for about an hour! Ron had a busy day talking on the phone to just about everyone one on earth!!!! I, cooked dinner... While dinner was cooking I decided to make eggnog (from scratch, for the first time!) Turned out pretty good!!! Now, it's time for the clean up... The worst part of any holiday!!! So, lets hear how you all spent your day!!!
Spent time with Kym, Halie, Shawn (my youngest son) and his g/f then went to work. All in all another great holiday!!!
Did some drifting and donuts with my brother on some back roads on the way to last minute Christmas dinner shopping. Spent the rest of the day cooking. Smoked an 8 lb beef tenderloin, and 10 lb ham with an awesome glaze. Made Bill's surprise potatoes, fried corn, "Neelies" (food network) green bean casserole, a really good pitcher of homemade sangria. MotherMopar (Jason) and his family, another neighbor family, my family and my brother came over and ate, drank, and had a great time!
Slept in, dressed Maddy up in her santa suit, helped Marc save the scalloped potatoes and drove to the in-laws in San Jose and then back home. Maddy's in bed, napping and I've got Cars on the tv. "Luigi watch only the ferraris!"
Had a good day with Halie, Kristi and my cousin and his gf then went driving looking at xmas lights tonight.....
Hope everybody had a great Christmas! I had to fuckn work till 11:00 tonight and gotta work NY Eve, and NY Day...oh boy! Anyway, like i said...hope all had a great christmas!
Got my wake up call from my 18 yr old son this morning....we spent an hr opening presents....wife cooked a big breakfast of eggs, maple sausage links, biscuits with apple butter & sausage gravy...............went over to my parents and ate again.....over to my wife's mother's house (her dad is deceased)...back home to socialize with my good friend "Jack"...
made eggs benedict this morning for my parents at their home. then proceeded to spend a few hours opening up gifts and socializing. took a nap, ate a snack, watched the basketball games and then had fondue for dinner. tiger prawns, steak, chicken in different sauces ranging from hot chili base, mango chutney, etc, etc. needless to say, by the time i got home i am ready to pass out and then go to work tomorrow....
i spent my day opening gifts with just the wife and boys........ there is a lot to say about just staying home sometimes.....no stress!!!!! then i spent the rest of my afternoon on the phone with ron talking about cars!! lol
This was the first year ever that we just spent the entire time at home. We woke up opened presents, had macadamia nut pancakes with boysenberry syrup, layed around watching the bondathon and napped a bit then had steak and snow crab legs for dinner. It was a good day :grin:
Went to work, then came home, shoveled Ice out of the driveway, ate dinner, passed out for a bit, went to midnight mass, passed out for a lot, opened gifts with the fam when everyone was alive, went down to my cuz's house in jersey which ended up in me basically spending all day un fing up their computer lol....then came back...spent the night with the little lady and called it a xmas lol
First half of the day spent at home. We opened gifts, Cheryl cooked breakfast. Second half of the day we went to in-laws house opened gifts, had dinner, and watched Fred Clause.
