its motor trend....they knew what they were gonna say before they got in lol.... but judging by what the owners of the 09 RT's are saying....it really wouldn't shock me that they would chose the RT.... i would say that those prices are pushing it now a days cause if you were a good talker you could probably get an SRT8 for as much as an RT LOL!! :grin:
Just read this article in the new issue, whatever, agree with you stevo, they already knew what they were gonna say before they even said it. It's funny now when they did their first test of the SRT8 Chally a while back they LOVED it so and picked it over the GT500 Shelby. Now not so much. What's changed?? Nothing but their minds. All those car mags have other "agendas".
i wouldnt go as far as saying they didnt like it....i just think that they felt that 12k more htan an RT was a lot for what you get if your only looking at HP ratings.... but how many threads do we have when we go into just how different an SRT8 is then an RT....it goes beyond HP but i dont think they looked that hard lol
No you're right, they didn't hate it, they just soured on it. When they tested the SRT8 before they were all ga-ga over it. What happened, what's changed? Nothing. Besides, once you option the R/T it gets up there in price too. I just try not to take what all the car mags say as gospel you know, they all have their own biases. My friend is so sick of C&D and their "Bimmer wins again" comparos he won't read that mag anymore, lol!!
Anyone notice a girl dirving the R/T just like our little Lisa from BMC she would of done better. I did notice the SRT did not start to pull hard on the R/T until 3rd gear
The SE is not a performance based package at all, why the heck they even put that in there is beyond me and it handles like a pig as seen in the video. And the difference is obvious betweem the RT and SRT the SRT was pulling hard after 3rd. I like the poker faces on all 3 of the drivers before the drag race.
hahah my dealership wants 39,000 for a RT he tryed to tell me MSRP was 38,000 I told him I paid that for my srt8. then walked out. he called me later that day dropping the price. I said cal me when its 29,000. Basterds think that since I live in a $$$$$ ass area people are goign to pay 10k over msrp

A figure 8 is a weak way to test cornering and road handling capabilities of SRT8, and they didn't do a braking test either.
every person is biased towards SOMETHING IMO.... thats why I could never do it....cause i would be like "psh this is shit" to anything that wasnt Chrysler, GM, Ford, MB, BMW or Aston Martin....maybe Ferrari too lol

I think the drag test showed the real difference between the R/T and the SRT8 and why the SRT8 is still the performance King of the bunch. If you want to go really fast the obvious choice is still going to be the SRT8.
