This past week I had the pleasure of helping out with the MOFO event in Sacramento. Over the course of a couple days just about every CAI system out there was tested and reviewed. Welp I gots me a chance to check out the carbon fiber work done by Chris. Holy shit oh dear, just amazing what he was able to do with the unit he manufactures. I've seen many CF parts on complex geometries before and it's always a huge undertaking to flow the lines of the CF. And most of the time, it looks like complete garbage. But Chris did a unreal job. Major props bro!!!. :worthy::worthy::worthy:
Absolutely correct Cam. I had the pleasure of visiting Chris's assembly and manufacturing plant (lol) to see first hand how Chris makes these tubes. WOW. There was even a tube made from another company on hand for me to compare the two. HOLY CRAP, this other company looked like the Carbon Fiber was made by a 1st grader who hasn't learned how to color inside the lines... Glad to hear that the new CB CAI did well at the MFO.
holy shit cam, thanks a bunch buddy!!!!! i am really excited about taking on this new venture with Hammer Automotive and being the sole supplier of their carbon fiber intake barrels. having worked with this stuff for so many years on the prosthetic field, when i was asked if i could do it, i said not only can i, but even better!!! hahahahahaa thanks again cam, coming from you this means a TON!!!! you are one of the very well respected lx minds, i appreciate the compliments!!! and ron, it was a pleasure showing you the "assembly line"!!! lol punched out another 12 units last weekend!!! oh yeah ron, very soon you will see a comparo pic of mine and that other POS!!!! do not be surprised if a certain intake copy cat tries coming out with his own cf intake....... guarantee it will be made by the same folks that did the one i showed you!!!! hahahaha
haha that one certainly was a POS. bwahahahahahaha And as for the copy cat POS, yea, it would not surprise me at all. That and I received an email today from 300Z forum that the Copy Cat POS just signed as a vendor. WOW! For someone who does NOT have balls, he certainly has some balls. lol
go figure....... what amazes me is that he seems to see no problem trying to pass something off as his when it CLEARLY is not..... he is either very stupid, or very smart........ either way, he will see no business from anyone that i know..... lol he even went as far as to pm me and try to "warn" me of things........ his choice of words boardered on intimidation........ did not sit real well with me.....:sly: thanks nev!!! here is a shot of one of the first ones i did...... they look even better now.....
Huh......pretty cool Chris. I had no doubt you would tackle this mission with some vigor. Talk to Scott, maybe I'll get one of these on the house, for all my "unrewarded" efforts for the development of the nonexistent Jeep intake!!! Chase
Well bud, if it ever goes there, I'll be the first guy to step up and provide both support and money to solve the issue.
Heh, when you pull your skirt up you want your legs to look good. Doesn't surprise me Congrats Chris! I saw the pics but I was completely in the dark that you did the manufacture. And Cam, when and where are the MOFO results going to get posted?
Yeah.....that's what Scott said, lol. :bs: Kudos on your success with this Chris, for real. They picked the right guy to help them nail this one. Chase
thanks cam, that means a lot!!! i doubt the slimeball will ever go that route, but if he does, i feel for him..... i can ALWAYS count on you buddy!! thanks brad...... this guy screwed scott (rev hammer) and damn near ran his business into the ground..... thats when i was approached and came in to help with what you saw in the picutre!! its scotts design, with my manufacturuing techniques. thanks dave! yeah, i was asked if i could do it and i decided to put my own twist on doing them so the inside and outside surfaces were equally smooth. i do things completely different than traditional cf manufacture techniques. thanks buddy!!! once i get through all of these back orders and scott starts taking new orders, i will make sure we do something for you!!! you just say the word!!!
Congrats Chris. It's a beautiful piece man. I know who you're talkin' about and he contacted me about doing the graphics for his new intake after I put up a sample logo in one of his threads...dude never responded to me after I said I was doing some side stuff for RDP at the moment. I pm'd him back again, and still no response. Damn Canadians! LOL. Good luck with the venture man, and hopefully you can finally mod that thing for performance lol..jk
ohhhhhhhh the speed things are going on milan!!!! should be getting a little NOS package from john (8yourm5) very soon!!! hehehehe thanks for the kind words..... and watch out for crazy canadians!!! lol
Yeah well, he's from like New Brunswick and any Canadian that knows about that province can tell you it's filled with criminals and drunkards...oh and they fish lol. He even green beaned me and asked me if I'd be interested in doing the side work. I figure (and now presume from what I've read at LXF) that I'm much better off lol. N20 huh? You're gonna become a junkie haha
