How many peeps are you all having for thanksgiving and when do you start cooking? or are you a lameass and pawn it off on someone else? LOL ..... we are at 21 people this year....and i started cooking tonight...
Two. And I AM a lameass who pawns it off on Maureen. lol But I can't help it as Maureen is a Terrific Cook.
4 at my house....wife does her part and i do mine...my part being..I eat what she makes and tell her how good it is (and she is a great cook)...
Well I am more fortunate... I will be with my family on the traditional T day along with my wife and kids (3)... everyone included on my side equates to about 44, my Mom and Dad, 4 brother, 3 sisters, their families, grand kids and great grand kids and then a few close long time family friends... Saturday we do it again with my wife's side of the family, her two sisters and their kids (6 total) and husbands and my mother in law and then a a few neighbors who are often by them selves on the holidays.. Our door is always open to you Ron and Maureen you are more than welcome to join us.. then again the mayhem may keep you away.. but we do have good eats... Well I am more fortunate... Very kind of you Ken.. Thank you. So, you have 3 wives and kids? haha My parents come and live with us just before Xmas and stay for three months. We usually celebrate T-Day then. Maureen loves to cook for T-Day, so who am I to argue? hehe
We'll have better then 30 here. And you'll be happy to know that I WILL BE DOING MY PART. I heading to a Pink Floyd concert on Wednesday night..........................MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
We already had an early turkey day when Mom came out earlier in the month. Marc's whole family (mother, brother, sister, stepdad, grandfather, grandfather's wife and grandfather's wife's companion/nurse and uncle) plus Marc, Mom, Maddy and Me. We had prime rib with assorted sides. I don't remember much of the meal because I was busy feeding Maddy some sweet potatoes and she had the WHOLE jar! :baby:
Hell yes I am from Utah... :friends: not really.. but they way they go through my money you think I had 3 wives.. actually she is the second one 25 + this year.... I broke the first one.. Understand on the parent coming out.. my grandparents would come out for the snow county in late Nov and go back in March or April..
Our family is gonna try out this cool ass bird dinner......it's called a TURDUCKEN!!! It's a turkey...deboned and stuff with a duck....stuffed with a chicken...stuffed with sausage! Does that sound tasty or what?
LOL....way to do your part Ron hahahahaha Normally its the rents that do most of the cooking... Last year it somehow ALL shifted to me....not sure how that worked hahahaha.... but so far im 1 for 1 with cookin stuff by myself....im sure that trend will continue tonight its partially my fault cause if i let my parents do anything it will take them a WEEK to do something I can do in like an hour....like last night...i made a dish that normally takes my mother between 4 and 5 hours to make due to all the cutting and prep work. I ended up making the normal amount as well as an extra 1/2 recipe in just under an hour. If i didnt work for a million hours yesterday i'd have been more willing to keep cooking but i am so tired from the weekend that i almost needed to roll my ass out of bed to even get up this morning LOL thats tough....real tough hahahahahaha YEAH MADDY!!!!!....at least she knows the spirit of thanksgiving....eating waaaaaaaaaaaay too much OH GOOD LORD i knew two things were coming....and this was the first....the second is deep fried turkey hahahaha.... i like everything that you said with the exception of maybe duck....though i have never had duck so i dont know if i like it or not.
I think we are just having 3 extra people over for thanksgiving...that is on top of the 9 I have staying there 24-7...
