thanks guys.. great site.. cool to see alot of high powered cars and various power adders..

I will be modding my beloved dumbo and am glad to see some of the results from various platforms..

    :mains:

I had the itch just before I put it away so just settled for the C&L / 180 / predator to tide me over until something nastier can materialize..

Nearest I can figure an homage to the coronet 500 and charger 500s of yore type of deal. 2k option including the Kicker system and the badging and some other odds and sods (nothing unique save the badging and the certificates).

Lots of people say there are ONLY 500 of them, my guess is there are "around" 550-600 of them..

If they made 7051 in 08 as quoted in a mopar mag, we know the US got 6400, mexico got 100ish nearest I've been able to piece together. So we got between 500 and 600.

My suspicion is that since our cars aren't numbered, they did not make exactly 500 which again, owners / dealers / journalists seem, to suggest.

no worries. There wasnt a lot of hard and fast data available it seemed, I tried to cobble it together as best I could.. It is a little wierd the way they did it but overall I'm happy. One funny thing is - from a canadian auto show the chrysler literature said only black and orange would be available here. In fact I had several dealers tell me point blank that silver 08s in canada did not exist. They seem to be like hen's teeth but I know there are some. :zorro:

with the 500 thing people assumed there would be only 500 but I'm convinved there are "about" 500 - more like 550. Most people don't recall the old charger 500s or coronet 500s..

I put a 500 dollar deposit on this car in the fall of 06 and this luckily came up for me in late July of 08. The dealer scammed this somehow from chrysler thank GOD after their first one was not sold but RAFFLED OFF! I got it a few weeks later (it came by rail from the dealer I got it from across the country)..

Alot of people paid a massive markup on our 08s here in canada.. from 60-100k instead of the loaded MSRP of about 51k plus taxes.
I sold my 04 Neon (SX2.0 in canada) SRT4 (silver) a few years ago and missed having a fun car. My Nitro R/T (silver) is my daily so this fits in perfectly as Dr. Jekyll with the challenger as my Mr.Hyde. :friends:
