me no likey the new layout!!!!!! the screens seem to run together to me and the text, albeit in white against the dark background, makes it waaaaay harder to read easily. i realize the colorblindness thing is an issue, but i really am not liking the new colors......just too damn hard for me to read anything!!

You always want a brighter color against a darker color. Same goes the other way around darker color against a brighter color.

For instance its a dark shade of grey now and white is hard to read? Not everything has a white background to it in every day living. White or black are common text colors depending on what background they are up against.

I would like to see what Orange text would look like up against the shade of grey.

orange would be fine as well, though it would have to be a pretty dark orange so that your eye doesnt start bleeding the letters into one another.

Ummm, can you make the "auxiliary" areas look kind of the same as the reading areas? Things like the post/reply composition boxes, search page, etc. It's kind of like getting hit with a flash bang switching between them.

That would take care of this also: when you cut and paste a url into the post/reply box it's there, but it's in invisible ink.

 

oops, just saw this thread and I have to agree way back at the beginning with Maureen and Larry and others, I can't read white on black, sux. Too harsh on my old eyes. BUT, IT DOES LOOK REALLY REALLY REALLY COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
