Saw something like this in Pleasanton on my way out of town today. He apparently was curious about my exhaust sound and so was revving his engine just in back of me, as if to make sure his was as loud or sounded better or something. Pulled along side and eyeballed the HEMI badge but never looked my way or anything like that. Not sure what that was about. Perhaps it was just hemi-envy!
Gotta admit that they look great though. I saw a blue one last summer on the way to Ocean City -- very nice indeed.
haha, naw tam...he was wondering what all the baby vomit was doing on the rear window of such a beauty. this is the best looking car out there at the moment imho. i havent seen a granturismo around the bay yet.....maybe you mean the quattroporte? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mase...526QQitemZ280281806526QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks starting bid: $110k the one we have pictured though is the S. add a few more Gs when it comes out.....im guessing around $145k.
Pfft, my baby is NOT motion sick. Hell, she grins when the engine starts. :maddy::baby: There's a luxury/exotic dealer down the street from me. I looked at the quattro, this was not a quattro.
the S quattro and regular look a bit diff. but if you have a dealer down the street its quite possible you would see one before me. the grantourismo is by far the best looking coupe imho.
Gotta agree with Tony, the DBS and even the DB9 are the sweetest looking "coo-pays" out there. That Mazer is very sweet but the Aston's are better. So Tam was it loud? A few weeks back I came up on a Mazerati Gran Turismo and couldn't believe how loud and sweet sounding it was. The guy driving was cool, gave me the thumbs up but I had to roll down the windows and follow him a bit to keep listening to his car, one of the sweetest sounding V-8s I've ever heard. The Mazers use the Ferrari V-8 right?
It was loud, he was revving it. It was more like a soundcheck than anything. Whenever I accellerated (this was all going over a freeway) I heard him goose it a little, like he was wondering which was louder. And then he rolled up and stared at the fender (HEMI badge) area. White guy, thin, tan, short hair kinda greying.
haha, yeah, i also think the ferrari is indeed something special....though i dont refer to them as coupes though they may be. i think of a coupe as a non-sports car touring vehicle. something to tear around the countryside in. i sure wouldnt do that in an aston martin or ferrari. no trunk space, room, etc. i need to be able to relax the seat back a bit.
That seems bout right, lol, that description fits the guy driving the one I saw to a tee. Prolly fits ALL owners. He was prolly just tryin to figure out what the hell kinda 4 door "saaaaaloooooooon" car was making his $200 thousand dollar Italian sausage sound bad! (btw Tam, I think Top Gear is getting ready for new episodes, I heard somewhere there's some online now).
