Well guys, we finally went to the dyno with the sole purpose of finishing the tune on our car with full race gas. Keep in mind, the car has never had a dyno tune with full race gas. It has always had a mix in the car. First up was to see what our 11.7 passes were = in horsepower. I had thought we would be in the 420whp range and 500wtrq. I was off a bit although I was pretty happy. First pass off the highway the car made 405whp and 487wtrq. Not bad! I was pretty damn happy with that. After 2 hours of trying a few different things and raising the boost a tad, we finished with 431.9whp and 533wtrq!! What took so long was trying to get the boost to hold better. After a few tweaks to the WGA and MBC, we got it to hold 24psi and spool up faster. Nothing has changed on the car other than more boost, more timing, and full race gas. Mods are : Realtune Stage 2 package ED turboback ED FMIC 4 gallons of 110 2 gallons of C16 26.5psi holding 24psi One step colder plugs I want to apologize for the CRAPPY pictures. However, as I told everyone...I broke my camera. So this is as good as it gets until I get a new one. I figured you guys would want at least crappy pics vs. no pics. Keep in mind this is 30whp and 50wtrq across the board over our 11.7 runs. We have the LSD installed now and AGPs WGA on the way [which should hold boost better]. Man I hope the weather holds out for us! I am heading out for the night, so I will check in tomorrow and answer any questions. As you can see here, ZERO correction! What you see is what you get :banger:
That is very impressive to say the least Aaron. I could tell on the phone how excited you were, as you should be. hehe Congrats. I look forward to some track runs. hehe
Very impressive #s....congrats.............question...what is your experience with the leaded race gas & O2 sensors?........
Aaron do you have a website for realtune and also what parts make up your different stage kits....i'm planning on geting a caliber srt4 and wanted to know whats available not just this cars numbers and times....i wanna see some prices and parts
Leaded gas will kill the o2 sensors. Depending on the mixture is what will determine how fast. For example....in our race car, we use Q-16. This kills the sensors in 1,000 miles miles roughly. 110 leaded straight and we have seen roughly 6000 miles. Running a mixture of 110 and pump and youll get some good life from the sensors. You can also take the sensors out regularly and heat with a torch. Than scrub with a wire brush. This ''seems'' to make them last much longer. Also running straight race gas and switching back in forth with pump seems to give the sensors good life as well Still in the works and Goober just got it up a few days ago, but the addy is www.Realtuned.com
