I didn't do well with traction, only managed a 12.81@110 with a 2.14 60 foot. Blew the tires off on the 1-2 shift on this run: Oh to think what would have been because I did a 1.96 60 foot on that run. They shut down the track because they said it was to cold...which is weak because it was 48 degrees when they did it. Congrats to Mike COMP T/A 57 for breaking his own record though. I took a pic of the timeslip and got the run on video, but unfortuantely neither of them are too clear. It's all a lie! You'll have to take a better pic Mike. The DA around the time of this run was -140. I really think I'm about done drag racing my 300, it's not really what I bought it for and I think I've kind of hit my wall for street tires. I mean, when I get the motor nice and cold on these negative DA days, the tires don't warm up until about three passes, and by then my coolant is up to 186-188. I've gone 12.6 several times with a best of 12.61 and best trap speed of 114.1 mph. This sure has been a fun car to own and it's proven itself on the track, now time to pile up some miles on the highway and enjoy it that way - and of course rack up the occasional street kill Eric
Thanks! Yeah Mike really has his car dialed in, that's a 1.74 60 foot on stock halfshafts and the stock converter!!! Eric
Simply fantastic Erik. I am with you man, I think the track days for 1bad4dr are about over as well. Getting too expensive for the up keep. haha Maybe I will do as JMatt did and find a REAL track car?
I know there's some frustration on my part coming out there Sam, but unless it's a show & go like the LX Nationals or something...I just don't see myself hitting the track a lot anymore. I'll gladly show up and videotape you sometime Eric Funny you bring that up, I was just talking to a car guy at work about the whole thing, and it may be time to by something that's only a track car...not even in the league of JMatt's ride, but something to work on and break and slowly build up and make faster and enjoy...and still have the family car that runs 12s! Eric Thanks Eric
looks like it was fun... I hope you enjoy your retirement, and don't worry. I don't think you will forget how to drive...hopefully you'll...wait...what???:dumb:
