momo - the new M3 is def a monster. there are a few running around in my area. i have owned many 3 series, including various m3's, and despite the homo-phobic comments of steve, they are a VERY well built and designed car!!!! matter of fact, the one car i wish i would have never sold (besides the # matching 70 chevelle), is a 89' m3 with the box flares and all!!!! oh yeah, steve is just not over the pent up anxiety from the memories of being dumped by his chubby dream girl for the guy driving the 3 series bimmer in high school....... lol
Chris, I obviously agree. I was once a fan of the M3, then got the muscle car bug... The pendulum is swinging again. What is your opinion of the previous generation M3's (the ones before this new V8 model)?
i drove those as well and they were great cars!! not quite the same brutal grunt power as our srt's, but very quick cars with excellent road behaviors. they really need to be driven higher in the rpm band to have the most fun. if you like torque, then the m3 might disappoint, but for shear balanced driving, bmw builds a good car..... although i love my srt even more!!! lol
