Ok so friday night my FOB just totally wigged out and stopped working, now it works when it feels like it. I lost my spare key so I made a dealer appointment for tommorow to get my FOB replaced under warranty and get a new one made which I have to pay for.

So today I go to reload the stock tune back into my 8 because its going to the dealer, I hit the unlock FOB, nothing hmmm ok I unlock the door with the key and no alarm goes off hmmm, WTF battery is dead. I get the battery booster and start the car up to get the OEM tune back in that goes fine.

I shut off the car and restart, I look at my RPM gauge and it stays in the negative, then goes to normal the fuel gauge then dips into the empty slot and pops back up to normal fuel level, WTF!?! The radio wont boot up and when it does the time shows like this --:-- then goes to normal. Plus the sub woofer I can hear beating for a while after the car has been shut off and armed.

I look at my Corsa tips and there BLACK, I have beat on my car and NEVER had the tips have even a slight hint of not burning fuel correctly never mind them being this black!

I call my guy up at my dealership who I trust and tell him the stuff that im experiencing and he says sounds like I may have a bad cell in my battery and I may be running off the alternator, I check my voltage with the Dashhawk and the car is putting out 14.5 DCV, he said if the battery wont take a charge like what im experiencing it is going to freak out all the electrical systems out in the car, he said dont drive it anywhere tonite as it will strand me anywhere I go, to leave it be and he will start looking at it tommorow.

From the first day I bought the car I remember the lights dimming and going bright in the cabin back and fourth so this problem may have been there from the beginning and it just got progressivly worse.

I will know more tommorow, this sucks. Fuck You Canbus.

    Input anyone?

I had this happen on my other car. Alternator went out and the car acted all weird. I thought it was the battery so I went to get a new one. Car died just as I was pulling into the shop. They replaced it but I still had weird electronic problems, took a call to the dealer to figure out it was the alternator. Anyway, they suggested the same thing, not to drive it. Well I did. Battery went dead and the car died on the way TO the dealership the next day, ON A NEW BATTERY, and in less than 5 miles. What a long morning that turned out to be, friggin alternator. Sounds like that might be your prob, good luck!

(oh, forgot to say that ALL the electrical stuff in the car wasn't working right with the bad alternator ... gauges, stereo, lights, HVAC, EVERYTHING, so that's prolly what your problem is)

Sounds like (no pun intended) you have the sub woofer heart beat TSB. Many owners have had this issue, so Chrysler issued a TSB. This heart beat was draining the battery.

My lights will dim and then go back up every now and again. Done that for 2 years now. I've only noticed it at low rpms though. Sounds like yours is more serious.

Its either the alternator or battery lets see which one they replace first and prey. What is weird is when the FOB was freaking out the remote start was acting strange also, instead of 1 beep after hitting the remote start button twice I was getting only 1 beep and then it would start and the headlights would flicker once, I was like WTF!

I will be having them address that issue also, It does it everytime I shut the car off, it thumps for a few minutes. I know there is a TSB but I see that it only pertains to 2006-2007 model years.

Mine has been doing that since I bought it, and this was before I installed my low and fog HID's so that rules out my HID's and rear LED's.

My tech just called me and told me my battery had a bad cell in it, replaced under warranty, found a flash for the amplifier so he is doing that also and ordered 2 new FOB's.

He is looking into why the temp control now runs the compressor while in floor mode only in heat.
