What oil do all you srt4 owners think is better oil to run in our little skittles...
    AMSoil???????????
    or
    Mobile1???????????
Just curious cause i used to run mobile1 and just recently switched to AMSoil and the car feels a little better. Is this just me thinking its running better or is AMSoil just better oil???????????? Please enlighted me with your knowledge.
    Thanks,
    Mario
    Oh yea i run 5w30

**Reason i am asking is i have a friend that gets dealer cost on the AMSoil for me and it is the same price as I pay for mobile1***

    Oil is oil... just kidding.

To be honest, Mobil 1 is a crowd favorite and is mostly widely used on my automotive "street" racing based cars. Its recommended to be used in SRT-4's, Evo's, as well as many other platforms out there.

There's die hard people that will swear up and down with AMSoil though.

The running better might be all up in your head lol. Anytime someone switches over to anything is always seems better at first until bam your used to it and it just seems as normal as the previous with no changes.

Its all formula's and additives when it comes to oil. I've never ran AMSoil oil so I can be of much help there. Mobil 1 seems to be the crowd favorites with the mix of die hard racers that will run AMSoil. More street applications seemed to run Mobil 1.

    I use Mobil 1 5w30 and Mobil 1 filter on my SRT-4, we run Mobil 1 5w30 and K&N Filter on my wife's SRT-4.

The heat transfer within the engine between the break down of oil can cause scared bearings. You can play many aspects into such claims above. Any oil will cause this, no matter how great the oil you think is. Oil breaks down, whether it being automotive oil or your simple compressor oil to even your lawnmower oil. Not changing oil during correct intervals or even not running the proper oil level can cause scared bearings, bearing wear, and many other things. So you can't necessarily post "claims" without the many open possibilities there are out there as to why bearing(s) scared... which there's many aspects.

Oil simply lubricates. The main function is to lubricate moving parts. It cools the engine by carrying heat away from moving parts. Friction is the cause of wear within an engine as well as excessive heat.

    Mario,

Get with Scotty from CMW (Supporting Vendor). They make their own oil and can answer any question you have on this subject.

That planes dude. We are talking cars here that run unleaded fuel.

    :ronlove:

I'm not arguing btw, just a facts type of person :bigwink:

No problem and to answer your question Mario.

I would give AMSoil a try just to see what all the hype is... lol

No seriously, I would try it out. Its always worth trying something before coming to a conclusion. Usually there's always something out there that's better.

Everyone has their own opinion on oil Mario.

I am not a fan of AMSoil.

Royal Purple is ok, still not a fan though.

Mobil is all right as well.

Its cool man, just giving you a hard time that's all haha.

If I go to the Boca meet in November, I'll give you a hard time there :thongue2:.

I don't think there's any Mobil race gas around my area. I don't even know of any Mobil gas station around here for pump gas lol. Thanks for the suggestion! As I want to pick up some race gas soon for my wife's 4.
