The smaller dia tire the lower the gearing. But those 315/275 tires are less .5 inch shorter. Original tire Sidewall: 4.49 in Radius: 14.49 in Diameter: 28.98 in Circumf: 91.03 in Revs/mile: 696.02 New Tire Sidewall: 4.34 in Radius: 14.34 in Diameter: 28.68 in Circumf: 90.10 in Revs/mile: 703.18
Guys guys....The new tires aren't even on my car yet, I still have the stockers on. So that obviously isn't the issue. And yes, I know to keep the Predator in my car, my fault. At this point I'm at the mercy of the dealership, as crappy as that is...
They are replacing the silinoids in the tranny and reflashing the ECU for me. I should be good to go, hopefully.
So that's the second set of solenoids now? I wonder if there is some way a tune could effect the solenoids. Hammering them somehow so they fail prematurely maybe. I'd really doubt that but it seems odd that yours failed twice already. Maybe just bad luck.
No no, the first time they just cleared the codes and sent me on my way. They never fixed ANYTHING. Stupid Bakersfield Jeep. Now they are actually replacing them at my dealership. If the tranny fails again after this fix, I want a new tranny or a new car :mad2:
UPDATE!!!! So replacing the noids' did not fit it, so they decided to replace the TCM. That fixed it for about 20 miles, and then it went back to the original problem. So they finally realized it is a short somewhere in one of the wires that is messing up the electrical system, because all of the problems keep showing up again even though they replaced all the parts having to due with the codes showing up. NOT GOOD. So now they are going to go through every single wire until they find the one that has a short in it. Looks like I'm not getting my car back anytime soon. This frickin sucks. Should I still be worried after they fix it???
There parts changing because they dont know what it is. I know this sucks but ill say it anyway, you need to find a better dealer. Better dealer, ha ha ha, sorry, that always gets a giggle out of me. Seriously, you need problem solvers not parts changers at a time like this. I had to go thru 3 in my area before I found a good one. Either way I wish you luck. Start keeping GOOD a service record.
Nope, saw that thread. Not the same problem. I wish it was though. They are actually good. Why? Because they didn't give me any crap about mods. If I had a tow truck that would tow it to any dealership, then it would be a different story. I took it to a close one, which is the same one I bought the Jeep from. I have faith in them. If they don't fix it, new car for me!
