kimber desert warrior + 230gr TAP rounds= run jet chips, run. next on the list is the custom covert 2.....
marks stockin up! LOL pretty kewl there buddy....just needs to be black and stealthy like hate lightning lol
Markus you still scare me buddy. But this is just one more reason that i am glad you are on our side!!!!
bout time fucker!!!! haha, now just get some crimson trace + 8 clips and youll be just like me! ive had my custom covert on order now for months. hope it takes you less time to get yours.
already got myself some 8 rounders. theres a custom covert up the street from me at the place i got this from. no need for a crimson trace cuz the custom covert comes w/the crimson trace grips in desert digital. talk about sexy! btw, only pussies need lasers steve, real men use iron sights!! jk but the meprolite/novak sites on this thing are bad to the arse!
Figured you would love the Raptor I have not got to hold the Warrior yet but from my observation the Original Kimber Det-1 came with Simonich Gunner grips, which now retails fo $60-80 online. The Warrior factory grips is not Simonich grips... And the only thing you are paying extra for is the name and the railmount. You could actually order Custom II versions with railmounts... I would go with a railed Custom II and install Simonich grips youself, and save $400 in the process. Unless of course, if you are left-handed, then ambidextrous safety may come in handy. I do like the fact your gun does not have the Swartz safety and I hear that gun is un Godly freakin loud
haha....i got 8....8 rounders. :bigwink: talk about gearin to go. thats awesome dude, i looked high and low for a covert 2 like almost a year ago when it came out. i know about the digicamos....they want 340 for them from kimber last time i checked. im talking about using them on the d warrior. lol, the sites are sick, but you know us in oakland, we gotta shoot sideways like a gangsta. no sites there dude. the raptor looks like a show piece, not a daily use weapon. if youve ever shot one, it looks kinda gay. its got too much shit on it. if you want one though, my cousin gets employee discounts from kimber, hes the one who bought me my desert warrior, custom carry 2, custom 2 (swat) and now my new ccovert 2.
is it more accurate to shoot sideways-LOL Never bought a gun not in person so how would that work? I've never owned a Kimber but have done my homework on them for a very long time (I've only owned Glocks) so this is a great thread Markus THANKS!! I really want one bad
wilson combat is a kimber baseline weapon with a +500 price tag. you would need to ask your local dealer if he has his ffl. then all you would have to do is pay my cousin, he would ship you the gun through your dealer. usually it costs around 70 bucks depending on your dealer. but when you get almost half off the gun....i got my covert 2 for 900....my carry 2 for 800 and my d warrior for 700 + 200 for crimson trace....its a pretty good deal. i was pissed though about my d warrior for a bit. i wanted the regular warrior in the black finish. it wasnt until i saw the gun in person that i was utterly stunned at its raw feel and look. the kimpro finishes are the nuts.
I`m not sure what kinda dope your on drkness, but what you just said about wilson is probably the dumest thing i have ever heard. How can you say a wilson is a baseline kimber? Do you know anything at all about 1911`s? Not trying to be rude, but i have been into guns for over 20 years and i have never heard anyone make that statement......kimbers are nice, but wilson being a baseline kimber.....please! Wilsons are better guns than kimber will ever be!
No doubt the Wilson combat is a great gun and mind as well throw in Les Baers but $$ to $$ the Kimber is a great gun, accurate out of the box and user friendly. Wilsons are by far made better and are more of a custom built gun then a production gun but they are pricey sob's. I think the custom fittings that Wilson uses would make for a tighter shot pattern so it comes down to how much $$$ you have and do you want to brag that you own a Wilson. A buddy of mine that owns a pawn shop locally has Vickers, Heinie and Burns they are all great guns but what are you doing with the gun? If you are shooting IDPA or for CCW, the Kimber will be fine. If you need a weapon, the Kimber is great. However, like the kings of old, if you want your sword to be decorated with diamonds and rubies, then buy the Wilson
There are the best 1911`s on the market hands down! I own one of there 14inch class 3 shotguns, and a UT15......saving up for a compact supergrade tactical 1911. The shotgun is the best pump i have ever owned and the AR is also the best rifle i have ever shot hands down. I have a benelli M-4, but i can`t really compare that to to wilson cus the benelli is 18inch and automatic, but never the less it`s a badass gun! I have shot les baers ar`s, colts, pof, and numerous other ar`s and the wilson stands out by far.....the pof would be my next choice as i almost bought one a few moths ago. I have never owned a wilson 1911, but i have shot over 10 diff models and they are WOLRD CLASS!
yes, i love wilsons but my real dream 1911 is the les baer, forget which model name, but it came w/a knife and has a crazy color scheme. i think its special forces theme'd or something like that. gorgeous piece nonetheless.
I agree with you 100% on the fact that kimbers are great carry guns and great guns in general. Kimbers are a PRODUCTION GUN and NOT custom built like all wilsons. Yes, you can get kimber to custom make a gun for you, but when it`s all said and done you could have bought a wilson for the same ballpark. Yes, wilsons are pricey bastards, but you get what you paid for and the customer service is world class. Wilsons got the same thing markus....you have to be special forces to get the package though.....that`s probably the deal with les baer. I used to buy my guns from an Retired Delta Force member that owns a gun store in the Myrtle Beach area and he had 2 diff custom wilsons that had knives with them and the serial #`s matched as well. The first one had one of Striders first custom jobs and the second had a Wilson custom knife with it. I know you like knives as much as me.....have you checked out wilsons custom hand made knives.....they got sum nice shit!
