Diablosport Predator for SRT-4

not to sound cocky but the dealer we have here is also the person who worked very close with diablosport in the creation of the predator, I dont think the software will be an issue around here.

I like the idea of this thing. But then I'm not really interested in much of the tuning aspect. I would just like to get a simple Stage 1 for the Mrs Cruiser, and it would be a lot nicer to just plug in and pust a button rather than swaping the CPU.

As for the claimed shop (Rage-Tek) that's worked supposely close with Diablosport. Diablosport has been around for awhile, the Predator has been tuned by many shops and there's plenty of tuners out there who have it mastered. Just because one worked closely on the SRT-4 with the manufacturer/producer doesn't mean that shop knows what they are doing. If they did, we would have more tunes available as well as 3bar working with S0/S1 pcm's. Currently we don't. Last I read they didn't even have S1 working (supposely the dealers DRBIII doesn't recognize the pcm). Don't see what that has to do with anything as I've seen S1 be reflashed locally with a DRBII. So I much rather take it to a shop that's worked with Diablosport Predator and knows it inside-out then a shop that claims they are the one's to go to as far as the SRT-4 is concerned. Currently they are using that claim as their advantage to charge ridiculous prices IMO. They've only done testing on a couple/few SRT-4's. So I don't think they have yet to master anything concerning this unit hence I don't see their reasoning behind their prices. At this time, they should be testing different setups from stock pcm-S3 to even other aftermarket turbo setups. Then from there have base tunes in which they could adjust accordingly to vehicles and then set prices from there. Saying you can do... without any results doesn't warrant honesty... which in the end will cost the customer more.

Nothing against the said shop, but I've read the thread(s) and they seem to be pushing hype into members in the red site without any results (last I checked).

Again, not downing the unit at all. I would like to see some real world results on different setups.

That's 1 out of how many setups out there? Shea's car?

How about all the different big turbo setups that are out there? Lets not forget the stage pcm guys with different setups as well running different turbo setups (hahn 16g/20g, big wheel stock turbo's, to the variety of different s3 turbo setups).

Point is they haven't tested a number of different setups to be a master tuner of the unit.

I don't agree with pushing everyone to go with a certain shop just because of their involvement with the "development".

As there are a lot more shops with more experience on the Predator unit out there.

 

i know it works real well with a S2 w/toys on a 50 trim (mine)

 

i know my setup is rare, but they will use mine for them to have a base map

rage-tek does know what they're doing. nemo is one of the best tuners out there for the nsrt, i would trust him to tune my car.

i understand what you're saying about them pushing outrageous prices for their services since they're the only shop doing it right now, but any other shop would do the same in that situation. i agree that it's a little much, but that's life.
