I have been loving these wheels from Mopar's catalog and just got one from our dealer to check out in person. It's only a 18x7.5 but it's so freaking sweet looking with the dish, 3D spokes and black inside. Even though 20" look hot on the Challengers, I have been planning to stick with 18" for better handling on the drag strip and road course, plus a much better selection of tires. So, I think I'm going to get 3 more of these bad boys and stick them on the Chally. What do you think?

The picture with it next to the Chally looks like the spokes are too thin....but since the other pictures look great I realized it was just the black blending in the shadows...I bet it looks great in person......yep, I likey..:good:

They look great and I'd love to go to 18" year round but I'm doubting that they'd clear the damned front Brembo's on the SRT's Lisa.
Otherwise I really like 'em!!! Go for it!

Those are REALLY nice Lisa, I REALLY like them!! The Legmaker mod lives on, lol!

One question (sorry to get off topic a bit), I understand the benefits of sticking with a smaller 18" wheel for the drag strip (quicker off the line) but I don't quite get how having a smaller tire is better for the road course. More tire = more grip so 20s should be better there no? What am I missing?

What's the weight of them? Do they have them in a wider width?

Tire diameter will have little effect on the size of the contact patch. Width will. With a smaller wheel (and tire) you're likely to have less unsprung weight. Don't know if the gyroscopic effect is measurable.

Tire selection is a huge part of it as there are a number of road race type tires in 18" but not in 20". Same is true for the drag radial. SRT8U had his SRT8 Charger on the road course with the 20" stock wheels and they were good!

We weighed the wheel today in the shop and it was just under 23 lb. They only are this single size from Mopar. I wish I could get a wider rear but may have to have them widened. I'll probably run with them as-is for a bit and try and send 2 out to get widened if that is possible/affordable.

Very nice, kinda retro like the old Magnum 500 wheels in the late 60's.

Absolutely, I would say that was their intention. Widen the rear's 1.5"-2.5" and you are in business. I like them.
