I cant get this to work. When I go through modify parameters and get to autoupshift it gives me 5 options. (NO CHANGE, STOCK, MODE 1,2,AND 3) Which one is auto upshift? I tried stock and it didnt work. Im a little scared to select any of the modes. Help??? please
I'm asuming you have an 08 model. Apparently with the 08 cars the Diablo now has 3 modes for the Auto-Upshift Disable - one of the modes will work for your car. You'll have to try each one and see which is the correct mode for your car. No big deal.
Well, the whole 3 mode thing I believe came about due to the 08 models. So it doesn't matter if you have an 06,07 or 08...one of the modes will be the correct one for your car. Just try mode 1, if it doesn't work then try mode 2, if that doesn't work then try mode 3. One of them will work!!! By the way MARKUS........BLOW ME!!!!!!!!!!

I was HHP today, but no Marky poo! Oh well, we'll hook-up sometime so you can blow me sweetie. The 3 modes are there for a reason since there's different TCM's or actually versions of the TCM's from DCX. One of the 3 modes will work for his car...don't scare him please.

Too late i tried modes 1 and 2 and nothing. Ive been told this is on the diablo website as a question for revision but didnt see it. Moving this thread doesnt sound bad to me if it helps. I just want it to upshift!! dangit...I NEED IT 2! BADLY...LOL
Actually I thought you were trying to get the TCM to Disable the Autostick Upshift which has been the issue with the TCM's in our cars in the 07's,08's and the 06's which had the TCM TSB done. A lot of people didn't like the TCM shifting on its own at redline and wanted the ability to Disable the Auto Upshift...the Predator addressed that and that's what the 3 modes are for. To Disable the Autostick Upshift. Sounds like you've got a factory TCM that didn't get the TCM flash done to help with the rough 1-2 shift in the 06 model year SRT8's. Everyone that got this flash(including me) then lost the ability to keep the TCM from shifting by itself to the next gear at redline. If you have this TCM flash you can then get the Predator to Disable the Autostick upshift if wanted or just leave stock and have the TCM Auto Upshift on its own. I believe that the only way to be able to get the TCM to Auto Upshift through the Predator is to get the TCM flash done by a Dodge dealer. I'd ask someone at Diablo about this, but I'm sure this will be the case.
Makes perfect sense. I thought about this t o because my brother got his srt8 flashed and his does it. Should I restore the factory tune on the car before I take it to the dealer? I dont have warranty anymore so would it matter? Thanks dude, you are saving me here...
Ya, I would put the stock tune back in the car and then get them to do the TCM flash. I'm assuming that since the car's not under warranty anymore that the dealer will charge you to do the flash, but hey you can always try to see if they'll do it for free. Good Luck!:grin:
wait before you do it I remember people saying that it was stronger or somthing was better pre flash. It was a long time ago might want to look around
Ok check this out when I bought the car it was used. It had no visual mods and I remember the car never upshifting on its own. I thought when I got the pred I could change that. So when they are stock are they upshift enabled or?... The flash at the dealer is only 90 bucks so...
If its the stock TCM without the TSB flash then it won't autoupshift on its own in 06. The flash for the TCM, as an unfortunate by product for most of us then allowed the TCM to autoupshift on its own at redline and also if you spin the tires to hard in 1st gear it will upshift into 2nd even before redline. This is the main reason I couldn't stand the TCM flash. I also have spoken with others that stated it effects the kickdown into 1st gear. Anything above 25MPH and my car won't kickdown into 1st. I've heard others state without the TCM flash that they can kickdown the tranny at 30MPH or so. Just a couple of things to think about.
Its just hard to time the manual shifting just right. I love the way it sounds though. we'll see...thanks pax...
The main reason I wanted my TCM flashed to get auto upshift is because it is hard to get the right shift point manually wthout hitting the rev limiter, especially 1st to 2nd , when you are racing. The other was the capabilities you get with the Predator. "Raised Shift Points" works very nice. I have never looked back. It would just be REALLY UNBELIEVABLY COOOL when we can get "User Adjustable Shift Points" in AUto-Stick. I hope this is in the Predators future.
