So its been a good 6 months since I've had any honest to goodness races. My car was in the shop for 2 months this summer and my new commute is only 5 miles so I don't get any chances on a daily basis. My best chance should have been last week on the way to and from LA, but I was loaded with car show gear and another couple so I wasn't looking to play. Tonight, on my way home from seeing a friend in LA I finally got clear of traffic on the 805 south right after it splits from the 5. There was an annoying Tiburon who couldn't decide how fast he wanted to go so I left him alone. As I'm cruising in the left lane doing about 80, I see a Mustang (with the GT fog lights) darting in and out of traffic trying to get beside me. He finally does then just guns it out of nowhere. So he has the jump on me, but I grab 3rd and easily take back 1/2 a car and add another just from 80-100. I then shut it down thinking that I made my point. Oh no, I see him pulling a ricer fly by. I downshift to 3rd, but keep the same speed. Right as he is door to door with me I put it to the floor and easily had another 2 cars on him from 90-120 even with his running start. Boy was he pissed. I don't think he was used to losing.:baby: He darted off the freeway right after his second ass whooping. I don't know what was done to the car, other than a giant ricer wing, but a win is a win. His attitude made it seem like he had a decently modded GT and was looking for an easy SRT8 kill. Sorry, not tonight. It felt GOOD to be back in the saddle again. I never did see that Tiburon again.
Nice run Adam!! It feels good to take another down....it's human nature! Jason, where the hells your comment you two glasses of wine and a half a vodka tonic bitch! ??? :future:
Sweet Adam! The Stang didn't have a Transformer emblem on the side under the GT by chance did it? You were probably going by him too fast to see it. He's blue with one of the Mustang "R" type wings.
I didn't notice any transformer logo and the car looked black or grey to me. Sorry. I'm thinking he was probably one of Luis's street racing buddies from the Kearny Mesa area. He turned off at Balboa ave after I beat him.
