    Hey folks.
I did a boo-boo the other day and zoomed right home to figure out a solution so I don't do it again.

SUPER CHEAP modification....quick & easy to do.....unseen too.

As usual, I'll do a DIY article for it as well.
    :D

Ron- I'm all about clarity. LOL

This mod is so cheap and easy, there's no need to do a group-buy.

The mod is really only for the SRT-10's.
    Sorry my SRT brethren.

Kevan, any chance it's my Roofer's Induction hood scoop? $ 30, moulded in with some hand laid fiberglass, well, eventually...

    Glad you like it, Ron.
It's just a mock up and I think the actual unit should be taller and wider.

Well, this one is still cheap and easy, but.....it's "labor intensive".
How so? Well...I'm on the 3rd charge of the camera battery. :)

I might look into some different routes while I await energy.

The "different routes" didn't happen. Had to stick with the original plan.

I have everything wired now (only 2 wires). I started at 9PM and finished just before 8AM, but then again, I'm a perfectionist. :)
I'm waiting on some parts that *should* show up today, then I'll finish the project and get the DIY up ASAP.

I'm pretty happy with it thus far.
The one downside is that you can't see this mod at all. It's 100% hidden (and should be standard OEM gear).
I guess sometimes those are the best, right? :D

I've got 3 projects going right now:
    - This "easy" one.
    - Radar Detector wiring (ugh....)
    - Lowering Blocks.

The lowering blocks are done, but pictures need to be taken of the install process. Since it's not the archaic 'undo u-bolt, throw in block, tighten u-bolt', it's going to take some instruction.
Plus, I get to do it TWICE! Once for the 2" blocks, then for my own 1.5" blocks. :)

The RD wiring is pretty easy, but....I'm tired of having my dash apart. LOL

Maybe I'll sneak a pic in here this week to tease you guys some more. :D

Maybe the "boo boo" was the premature product announcement?

    Nah.
I'm not into whole vendor/products thing.
This project (like the lowering blocks) will be "a la carte", and the person doing the mod will buy all the components themselves.
I'll provide links and such, but I'm not selling a 'kit' or anything.

    Install went smashingly.
It works like a million bucks, and I'm very happy with the results. I think you folks will dig it too.

I took a TON of pics for the DIY, and have a few more to take tomorrow when it's warm out (need it above 60ºF for the adhesive to set properly).

And just as one finishes, another pops up: oil cooler lines.
    Ugh....
    Can you said "braided"? :)
