Palin has difficulty naming court case she disagrees with
    Posted: 08:10 AM ET

From CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney

    Couric interviewed Palin last week.
(CNN) — Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin had difficulty naming a specific Supreme Court case she disagreed with besides Roe v. Wade in a long-awaited clip CBS News aired Wednesday night.

The comments, first reported by Politico, came in an interview with CBS News anchor Katie Couric taped last week.

    Watch: Palin's 'Supreme' misstep

"Well, let's see. There's –of course –in the great history of American rulings there have been rulings, that's never going to be absolute consensus by every American," Palin said. "And there are–those issues, again, like Roe v Wade, where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So you know–going through the history of America, there would be others but–"

"Can you think of any?" Couric interjected.

"Well, I could think of–of any again, that could be best dealt with on a more local level, maybe I would take issue with," Palin responded. "But you know, as mayor, and then as governor and even as a vice president, if I'm so privileged to serve, wouldn't be in a position of changing those things but in supporting the law of the land as it reads today."

Palin's comments came in the same interview during which she gave a widely-panned answer on the economic bailout bill and had trouble describing John McCain's record on regulation of the financial industry.

The interview later became the subject of Saturday Night Live's opening sketch last weekend.

Cafferty Blog: Are Palin’s interviews with Couric helping her?

When Couric posed the same question to Joe Biden, the Democratic VP candidate and longtime member of the Senate Judiciary Committee said he disagreed with a ruling that invalidated a portion of the Violence Against Women Act.

She's going to get smoked. Sorry, but overloading a country bumpkin like Palin with gigabytes of information so close to the wire is going to make her lose tonight and in every interview she faces until the election results come in. Doing any more interviews or debates will just diminish public opinion of her....at least in regards to her political prowess....now if we're talking looks, she's way hotter than Biden ;)

    lol

    1) CNN = Democratic, so their reporting isn't to be fully trusted. How much was left out of the interview that led to those comments?

    2) Biden is worse. Biden can not remember what President did what, nor does he know when Television was invented. bwahahahahahaha

It will be a disappointing debate on both sides. IMO.

If Sara is losing that badly, she should pull a Janet Jackson. That will gain some votes. haha

I'm going to go against the grain of thought here and say she does very well tonight. Biden is a ethically corrupt mother fucking socialist. Good will prevail.

I heard on the radio, that Bikini(dot)com did a poll on who you would rather see in a bikini Palin or Pam Anderson? Apparently Palin is way hotter than Pam Anderson, cause she allegedly won.

Of course it could also be related to the fact that most of the free world has seen Pam Anderson in a lot less than a bikini, so what's the point really...

Um, wait. Where was I going with this again...:dunno2:

Just curious, since I can see the United States from my house, would I be a a good choice in dealing with your leader diplomatically? LMAO!!

Still think she should, at the very least, show some cleavage.

The Debate will be unfair to Palin from the get go....

Gwen Ifill the PBS newswoman and tonight's VP debate moderator has written a book that's due to publish on inauguration day. Its title: "The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama."

The Amazon.com blurb touting the book says Ifill "surveys the American political landscape, shedding new light on the impact of Barack Obama’s stunning presidential campaign and introducing the emerging young African American politicians forging a bold new path to political power."

Presumably, an Obama victory in November would improve the book's marketability. By the same token, as can be attested by scores of D.C.-based journalists who have put their reporting and observations into book form, it's the rare political tome that even comes close to best-selling status.

I was anxious about how she'd do tonight after the interviews, but never thought she was stupid or had to use her boobs to make a point or score points. Thanks guys, tell us girls how you really feel. :chair:

Oh and I was pleased with her performance, wasn't the greatest but she held her own against Old Windbag. :)

She was putting him in his place. Then when he had no other comment (most of the time) he would try and use John's voting against this or for that BS. lmao

    Hats off to Sarah!

Oh, and was it just me or did Biden NOT know how to pronounce Obama's name many times? lol
