Well the Hurricane was certainly to blame. Have any of you seen the pictures of Houston and surrounding cities? What a mess.

Since before the Hurricane, everyone was filling up their cars to evacuate. And since there was no deliveries during this period, gas stations ran out of fuel.

Now, since the Hurricane is long gone, the storage facilities need to be resupplied as well as they either went dry OR what fuel they had in the tanks got contaminated with water and they had to resupply.

These things take time to work the cluster F up. lol

Hang in there guys, fuel is on its way.

Real problem here Ron was panic....people went bizerk Friday before last and started getting in line to buy gas....I even had clients calling me saying I had better rush down to the nearest station and fill up....soon there would be no gas and what there was would be 70+ cents more.......I just said I have over 1/2 tank and dont need any right now......there was no real shortage here...all the gas that normally would be in the ground at the various stations was in tanks sitting in garages all over..:getlost:......and the starter of this thread...Mark...lives just 10 minutes from me..

Pretty much the same here in ATL...People have been panicking and filling up there cars even though the still had 1/2 tank or more. So the gas stations have ended up selling more gas in a couple hours than they usually did in a hole day. Now almost all the stations have dried up.

I have enough gas to get through today and tomorrow, then the skittle sits in the garage for next 10 days. (Next week is my week to ride in the carpool, not drive.) So, as long as gas supplies gets back to normal by end of next week, I'm not concerned.

I usually run my dually 3 to 4 weeks on a tank of fuel, other than trying to find high test last weekend, I hadn't bought gas. We drove my customers gas-burner truck, & We didnt realize untill halfway to Atlanta that there was a problem. I shoulda drove the diesel truck!

Yep, being that diesel is cheaper than gas right now...of course that is because you can still find diesel fuel pretty easy around here.
