On my return trip from San Antonio to Tucson I monitored my fuel mileage with the tune. Just west of San Antonio to about 50-100 miles east of El Paso I drove at 82 mph (speed limit 80 mph during daytime). Once it got dark I traveled at 72 mph until Tuscon where I ran into about 60 miles of 55-65 mph construction zones. After 900 miles of fairly flat landscape I ended up with 24.7 mpg. Not too shabby! Once I started through more mountainous landscape and up through the mountains east of San Diego the mpg dropped. After 1300 miles I got 22.5 mpg! Not bad for an almost 500 hp, 4200 lb car with a packed trunk, 2 adults, a two year old, and chihuahua!

Nice!! I knew I wasn't crazy. Nice to see the numbers on a longer trip. I'll be going to Vegas this week and keeping a close eye on it.

I call bullshit. This is all speculation and we have no definitive proof of Rick's MPG estimations... and I use the term 'estimations' loosely. I mean, he has a camera, why didn't he at least take a pic of his MPG readouts?!?!

I took a pic about two minutes after I called you at the 900 mile point. The cameras sitting on the counter in front of me. But, since I just drove 1300 miles, I don't plan on downloading it and posting it anytime in the next day or so. :stars:

That would be about a 2.7 mpg improvement, which fits with what others are reporting right?

(Now where's the rest of the trip report?)

Were you running a Predator Perf tune or your CMR tune?

Pred Perf Tune. This was 900 miles across Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona averaging around 70mph. I did some test runs with my B&G while I was in Texas going to and from various places. I averaged around 22 mpg with that one. I love my B&G custom email tune and have it in the car right now.

Next week after my trip to the dealer for warranty trip (and I won't take my car in with anything but original backup tune in PCM 'cause I don't know how lenient my dealer is). I am going to run the same tests.
100 miles on my original backup
100 miles on 9R08 Perf tune
100 miles on RDP CMR tune

I will post results for comparison.
